I self-nominate myself because the title sounds cool, and because I believe I have the maturity to handle the work bureocrats do.

If the nominee wishes a position of responsibility which requires a knowledge of Wikipedia procedure and the confidence of the community, it would help if he started by reading the instructions on how to format a request, which is spelled out plainly at the head of the page. Following that, I would like a more germane reason that he wants to be a "bureocrat" than that the title "sounds cool." I am sorry to have this sound unavoidably hostile, as he seems like a really nice person and a good Wikipedian, but this self-nom almost seems like a joke. --

Simply because the request contradicts itself by displaying an apparent lack of maturity; "sounds cool" indeed!

No, because you mucked up the page. -- [[User:Bobdoe|

Bureaucrats should be able to spell "bureaucrat".

I have to agree with Cecropia here.

You seem like a nice guy, but your error in formatting the request, your lack of proper datestamping on talk and Wikipedia pages, and your very lack of a legitimate reason to become a bureaucrat count against you and I must oppose. I do think that you're a strong contributor, but bureaucrat is a position that deals with adminship and policy.

What everyone else said. Show you're a little more serious about the position, and maybe we can take your nomination a little more seriously.

For all the reasons given above. It's good to have you contributing to Wikipedia, and I hope you will continue to do so, but you should be able to provide more reasons for wanting to become a bureaucrat, not just that "the title sounds cool". --
