bobsmith319 ( talk · contribs) - YOUR DESCRIPTION OF THE USER bobsmith319 ( talk) 20:24, 13 July 2008 (UTC) My fellow Wikipedians, after nearly two years of editing on Wikipedia, and one unsuccessful rfa, I'm nominating myself again. Within an impresively high edit summary of over 730 edits, I KNOW that I am ready to become an admin for Wikipedia. I have learned a lot from my unsuccessful rfa, and have grown as a Wikipedia user from the experience. I hope you will support in my second request for adminship. Thank you. reply

Questions for the candidate

Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:

1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
A: I intend to take part in a very eclectic variety of admin work. Since I was vandalized a number of times, I feel that we absolutely need to be on top of things when it comes to vandals. I plan to aggressively seek out vandals, and deal with them accordingly. I plan to work on adding tags to articles that need cleanup, the need for citations in an article, etc. I feel that these messages have helped raise awareness among my fellow Wikipedians about how import it is to maintain every article we have, and to continue to improve to help better inform our fantastic community on any topic or subject which may interest them.
2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
A: My best contributions are to articles for which I have added tags. These tags help remind people that a specific article still needs work, and that Wikipedia is far from perfect. I must add that I am also proud of my "minor" edits such as grammatical errors or fixing a sentence which contains awkward wording. Though these may be small edits, they make a huge difference and help make Wikipedia more of an enjoyable experience for us all.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A: I have been well know for my conflicts and hostility related to the pregnancy article. I had constantly removed the nude photograph of a pregnant woman, and when confronted about it I became very hostile toward my fellow wikipedians. An rfc was created for me which convinced me it was time to stop. I have since realized how important it is to get along well with other Wikipedians, as getting along with my fellow members makes Wikipedia a much better place for all. Also, around August of last year, a user was giving a hard time, vandalizing my talk and user pages, and writing inulting comments about me. I asked him very kindly a number of times to cease this verbal abuse, which he disregarded and replied with very nasty messages. Other users stepped in to stop, and thank all of them very much for their help.
