Delete. Looking through history, seems this started as a 2007-era stub, that
was sent to AfD. The final result upon closure was "Delete, but I'll add a link to Simplified Spelling and make it a redirect" (except jokingly said in spelling-reform style). ...In other words, it got BLAR'd. The 'Simplified Spelling' referred to
Simplified_spelling#Proposals_for_English_spelling_that_augment_or_replace_the_basic_Roman_alphabet. You may note that that isn't where the redirect currently leads-- because the
Simplified spelling page was split into
Spelling reform and
English-language spelling reform about a month later, with
Nooalf being appropriately retargeted. It then sat like that until 2023, which is when we get to... a slow-moving
edit war between people restoring the article stub from 2007 (and adding a chart of Nooalf symbols), and people reverting the edits and restoring the redirect. As an aside, other than the chart of symbols (which as of the last 'article' revert, is still unsourced), the article is in the same state it was in back in 2007 when the original BLAR happened-- being, an improperly-formatted stub, with two inline unexplained 'link' references instead of a proper reference section, one of which is merely an explanation of a claim that spelling reform would save money (and not a reference proving the existence or notability of Nooalf itself), and the other of which is a dead link.As was found back in 2007, there is basically nothing of value here. And if there is and someone would like to take a crack at writing a proper article on Nooalf, it'd honestly probably be more helpful to start from a blank slate.

CommentJoseph Kerr (disambiguation) links here with the entry "Joe Kerr, an alias used by the DC Comics character Joker", if that is incorrect it should be removed. There are many different people with this name who get mentions at en.wp, including a California politician who may become notable (if he isn't already, I've not looked for sources) as they are standing for election to the US House of Representatives. I'm torn between deletion and retargeting to the dab page.

It's the California politician that led me here. I suppose that the Joker could have used it as an alias in any one of the issues he's been published in. Muboshgu (

Retarget to DAB page, and change the freshly-circular entry there to point directly to
Joker (character). Looking through the DC Database Fandom wiki, Joe Kerr does seem to crop up as a fairly common alias for the Joker (to the point where Joe Kerr redirects to The Joker on said Fandom wiki). The most notable usage of which seems to be the 1994 comic
Batman:Going Sane, where the Joker fools himself into thinking he killed Batman and in response temporarily returns to sanity, forgetting his past as the Joker and adopting the moniker "Joseph Kerr". That said, with how many Joes and Josephs Kerr who show up in real life (especially said politician), it'd be a disservice to redirect anyone searching for them to the Joker. (For the record, there's also an argument to Delete as per
"We're not DC Database".)

Nominator comment: I will need assistance amid an active edit war regarding this redirect.

ToBeFree has semi-protected the redirect, so hopefully that should stop the edit warring.

Yeah, but that only. While that specific IP editor seems to have had no other intention than fueling a fire and causing damage (
[1],
[2],
[3]), the question if RfD is the correct venue may be worth discussing, and the semi-protection of the redirect isn't a decision about this.

Agreed, I did a
WP:BEFORE with google, google news, google book, wiki libary, ProQuest, and newspaperarchive.com which either didn't return aything, or nothing to show notability. While newspapers.com does return results, it's either the result of a bad scan, or adverts. Other people might find things but I'm skeptical of that.

A case of
WP:TOOSOON I think. Can't find the sources to justify this redirect. -

Delete per nom. The target article has no information for anything after 2029 and the only hit in a reliable source I found is very clearly a typo for 2003.

Comment. There are quite a lot of summer enrichment programs that are notable enough to be mentioned in articles, even if only for a sentence or two, and some of them enough to merit a DABMENTION. However, given how prevalent a term it is we should probably have some content about it that mentions/links to examples and related concepts, e.g.
After-school activity,
Summer learning loss#Summer programs,
Summer school,
Summer camp and possibly others which are currently poorly linked with each other. How best to structure this I'm not certain. I'll leave a note for the Education wikiproject to see if they have ideas.

Nowhere on the page does it say "Joe Kerr". If this redirect is about
this character, it's way too in the weeds for our purposes. –

Thryduulf (

It's the California politician that led me here. I suppose that the Joker could have used it as an alias in any one of the issues he's been published in. Or it could be the Earth-3333 character, which is super minor. Either way, there's no reference to a "Joe Kerr" on the Joker page. Any DC experts could provide more info than I can. –
