The Hacknic was a planned socially-distanced mini- Wiknic in Brooklyn's Prospect Park which coincided with the virtual Wikimedia Hackathon 2021, being held Sunday May 23, 2021 from 12-5pm in a shaded grove in front of the Picnic House on the western part of the Long Meadow.

All attendees were subject to Wikimedia NYC's Code of Conduct. In addition, it was particularly important to respect personal space and to observe government health mandates, and organizers threatened limiting overall attendance size if appropriate.

For this occasion, and to allow more space as desired, we had individually packed lunches provided by the chapter, and attendees were encouraged to RSVP at Eventbrite and give sandwich/entree orders.

The three primary topic areas were:

At 2pm, 'Hacking the Movement Charter' we held the last session on the schedule of the global virtual Wikimedia Hackathon on Sunday
