As part of efforts to gain Olympic and Paralympic media accreditation for the 2014 Sochi Games, a meetup is being on 1pm December 2, 2012 at Tattered Covers. Details on these efforts can be found at IPC Nor-AM Cup. We will provide information on why people should contribute to Wikinews, how you can assist in reporting efforts, and otherwise have a Wikipedia meetup. If IRC is available, you can join in at #wikinews connect.

On December 1st, at 6:38 local time, a group of Australian Wikimedians is arriving via train ( linky). As Colorado Wikimedians, wouldn't it be cool if we welcomed them to our fine country? As of right now, the plan is to greet the train, so the group will need to meet at 6:15 at the station. Car-pooling can (and should!) be arranged. Afterwards, we can all pile into cars and go to dinner at an inexpensive place close by. This is a great chance to welcome fellow Wikimedians and make some new friends!

This year's Wikipedia Loves Libraries at CU Boulder is all about primary resources! It's next week on November 1 at 4pm. Come along for the discussion, or just to meet other Wikipedians! -- Gaurav ( talk) 14:32, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
The Great American Wiknic 2012 is upon us! I've put up a page to organize something in Boulder, but we could meet up in Denver instead if you'd prefer. -- Gaurav ( talk) 03:07, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
Hi everybody! I'm a new graduate student at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I've been talking to the University Libraries about organizing events on campus, starting with a small event for Wikipedia:Wikipedia Loves Libraries next month (October 2011). We brainstormed a bunch of ideas, including:
I know there's a really active Wikipedia community here (it sounds like you had a great bash for Wikipedia's 10th Anniversary!), so I'd love to know what you'd like to see happen for Wikipedia Loves Libraries or generally on the CU Boulder campus. If you are a CU Boulder student and would like to help organize this, please get in touch with me on my Wikipedia page, or leave a message for me here. Thanks! -- Gaurav ( talk) 23:33, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Wiknic anyone? At the DNote in Arvada maybe? We should decide soon.
I believe we are all set. See you all at the DNote, 7519 Grandview in Olde Town Arvada (Grandview & Old Wadsworth Blvd.) at 3 on Saturday. JacquesDelaguerre ( talk) 06:41, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
Do these meetups happen often? I'm very interested in finding local Wikipedia users with whom I can trade useful information, as well as seek answers to some specific questions about pages on which I'm currently working. Timeinabottle8615 ( talk) 20:47, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
