Always aim to end edit wars by helping editors reach a compromise.
Never revert more than once — always take it to the talk page.
Avoid triggering edit wars — discuss major and/or controversial changes on the talk page beforehand.

John196920022001 An early experience on Wikipedia involved an edit war with an uncivil editor. Before I knew any better I contributed to that edit war. In researching incivility I found this club

SlimVirgin I think the decision to self-limit on reverting is a good idea.
Sm8900 . I think this club is one of the best idea that I have ever seen. I would like to helpo out if possible, with creating new resources, ideas, efforts, etc, if possible. thanks! ---
