Sceptical. Their students have been warned against consulting Wikipedia.
Have shown interest in seeing more GLAM documentation. Following this, a meeting with the principal, St Xavier's College would be the next step.
St Xavier's College, which hosts the Heras Institute, also has history and ancient Indian culture courses in the B.A. programme. Potential to link those students with Heras.

Informal discussion with curators, gallerists and art historians at Volte
Jehangir Nicholson Art Foundation is actively considering putting 800 works on an online platform and is leaning towards a Creative Commons 'non-commercial' license. It is willing to continue talking to wikipedia about donating these to Commons, which would require a CC-BY-SA licence.
Jehangir Nicholson Art Foundation and Volte considering a workshop on copyright licenses for wikimedians, artists, art foundations etc.
NGMA, the National Gallery of Modern Art, Bangalore
Formal meeting convened at NGMA for NGMA staff + galleries, artists' residency programmes and archives from Bangalore
NGMA expressed firm interest in having their work augmented by Wikipedians; to a certain extent, since they borrow from a central collection in Delhi, they do not have full control over their permanent collection. But they are keen to explore possibilities.
Gallery SKE already spends some time engaged with Wikipedia in terms of artists they are interested in.
1 Shanthi Road and Colab see several possibilities, in part because they are smaller, independent and highly flexible institutions whose primary purpose is public-oriented.
Successfully collaborated with the Department of Pathology and uploaded images to Wikimedia Commons. Descriptions to the images were added with guidance from the residents at the department of pathology. All images can be found
here. The images were used on several articles on English Wikipedia.
Mr. Rajarshi Das of the Central Library of
Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya contacted through e-mail for possible digitization of public domain magazines, periodicals and manuscripts. After feasibility review and administrative proceedings, the GLAM project is going to start from June. Details of the project can be found in
