File:Foreigner-I-Want-To-Know-Wh-297484.jpg is currently "PD-ineligible-USonly". The copyright status of album cover of Agent Provocateur (album) shall be evaluated. I asked the same question at WP:MCQ, but no one there responded. I want to be bold and change the info to reflect the licensing accuracy, but I'd rather put this up for FFD first. This album cover has unique colored shapes forming an "F", in contrast to the UK picture sleeve of " I Want to Know What Love Is" using the very basic 3D "F". Speaking of that song, if the album cover is not copyrightable in the US, same should go for the US release of the worldwide hit single, which I plan to upload if the album cover (similar to the front cover of the US single) is considered free only in the US. The source link no longer has the file on the webpage. The file page claims that the image has been released into the public domain, but there is no evidence provided that it is. Scalzi (who also goes by User:Scalzi on Wikipedia) also posted this image on Flickr, and it is clearly marked "All rights reserved," and does not have the appropriate Creative Commons license. If User:Scalzi could clarify whether he has actually released it into the public domain, or if he retains all rights to the image (or if he has any other images of himself he wants Wikimedia to use instead), that would be helpful. Keep: This image's Creative Commons status does allow for one to "share" as well as "adapt" meaning to "remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially" and also that the "The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms". As the aforesaid is so, one can be opinionated that my flipping of the imaging file would have been allowed for and as well totally permitted as a result of the above.
