Commons regards this logo as being too simple. Sfan00 IMG ( talk) 15:49, 21 September 2013 (UTC) reply

  • Comment er, what's the rationale for deletion? Is it now commons? -- 70.24.249.39 ( talk) 23:03, 21 September 2013 (UTC) reply
  • The logo itself doesn't look copyrightable, but the SVG adaptation of it might be copyrighted per Adobe Systems, Inc. v. Southern Software, Inc. In that case, the image violates WP:NFCC#1 as someone else could make a freely licensed SVG adaptation. Nominated for deletion on Commons per Commons:COM:TOO#United Kingdom: this is more complex than File:EDGE magazine (logo).svg which a British court decided was copyrighted. -- Stefan2 ( talk) 17:45, 22 September 2013 (UTC) reply
  • Keep no rationale given for deletion. This file uses fair-use rationales, and the commons version is up for deletion -- 70.24.249.39 ( talk) 07:58, 23 September 2013 (UTC) reply
  • Keep Per non-free media information and use rationale, the image which is a logo used to identify the organization of the Commonwealth Games Federation. The significance of the logo is to help the reader identify the organization, assure the readers that they have reached the right article containing critical commentary about the organization, and illustrate the organization's intended branding message in a way that words alone could not convey. The fair-use rationale can be found at Template:Non-free logo, which is suppose to be added on any logo that has sole purpose of providing an identity to a brand. It is also covered at WP:NFC, WP:LOGO, and Fair use. As long as the correct rationale tags have been used, then there is no copyright violation. Wesley Mᴥuse 15:12, 30 September 2013 (UTC) reply
