Greeves

Greeves ( talk · contribs) I have been an editor here for a few months and I am curious to how I have been doing. I do not have a very high edit count (as I am not much of a WikiGnome generally). On Wikipedia, I generally edit articles about video games, patrol new pages (recently started), review GACs, and help out with various WikiProjects such as WikiProject Massively multiplayer online games, and the Birthday Committee. I may want to be an admin one day, I am not sure yet. If I do become an admin, I anticipate helping out with deletion. Happy reviewing! Greeves ( talk contribs) 18:37, 2 February 2007 (UTC) reply

So far, you are doing excellent work in your field of computer games Wikiprojects. I see that you have a mediation case between Rebecca and Wolfgang in progress; good luck with that, and kudos for taking on the challenge. Dispute resolution is an important and underappreciated task on Wikipedia. It should be obvious that you need more experience before you can be admitted to adminship at WP:RFA. That's okay. Take your time, there's no rush, and your current work is really helping. I was impressed that you helped get WoW to GA status. It doesn't make sense to me that you would want to assist in the deletion process as an admin, but you have zero experience in the deletion process so far. If you wish to become an admin - and there is no obligation to do so, ever - you should learn the things that admins do. Overall, if I had to grade you like in school, it would be A or A-. Very good work so far. YechielMan 21:45, 11 February 2007 (UTC) reply

  • You have made substantial edits in only one article so far Golden Gate Middle School - a decent, though modest article. You claim that you helped World of Warcraft to GA status, yet of the 6,874 edits you only made 3 - deleting space, switching images and deleting text. As an editor you have at this stage done very little to Wikipedia main space, though you have spent a considerable amount of time on your own user page. I'd like to see a lot more editing done to be able to judge your ability as an editor - at the moment there is not enough to make a reasonable judgment. I'd like to see a range of edits before giving an opinion. SilkTork 23:00, 7 March 2007 (UTC) reply

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
I am particularly pleased with my work on WikiProject Massively multiplayer online games. As you can see from my edit count I am moreso working in the Talk and Wikipedia namespaces (I am somewhat of a metapedian).
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I have not been in any conflicts in the past but in the case that I am in one, I might just leave the article alone for someone else to deal with. I may even take a WikiBreak for a couple days.
