Contributor copyright investigation

This CCI cleanup subpage has been opened because concerns of multiple point infringement have been substantiated and further steps are necessary to address the serious risk of copyright violation from the listed contributor.   • Someone else noticed that some of this users edits may have contained language very close or identical to sources not properly attributed. This was apparently in reference to this diff which contains some identical wordings to editorials 1 2 3 I took a look at a few random edits by the user and this pattern appears to have been going on for a while. For example, this edit uses identical language to the article it cites. This diff uses identical language to the article it cites. This diff uses identical language to some news articles.   • Also note that this user has been here since 2007 and that even after the violation has been pointed out to him/her, s/he repeatedly claims that the material is "properly cited." Contrary to Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556's blatant assumption, copy-pasting has not been a modus operandi during the five years that I have contributed to Wikipedia. I do acknowledge that I should have taken more care when adding certain material (and I am willing to accept the consequences), but my intention was to ensure accuracy (balancing accuracy and copyrights is something I need to be careful of). I have already corrected many of the violations that were pointed out to me. However, most of my edits are not in violation of Wikipedia's copyright rules and I am confident a fair review of my contributions will indicate this. I ask that Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556's assumption about my supposed modus operandi not be taken at face value (in fact, it has little if any value), and that a proper review is preformed before any mass deletions or revisions are considered.( Hyperionsteel ( talk) 20:53, 12 March 2013 (UTC)) reply
