The Arbitration Committee has enacted remedies that apply to all editors who make edits related to genetically modified organisms, commercially produced agricultural chemicals and the companies that produce them, broadly construed (the "contentious topic"). The contentious topics procedure applies to all pages and edits related to this contentious topic.

Additionally, the following arbitration remedies apply to all pages and edits related to this contentious topic:

  • Editors are prohibited from making more than one revert per page per day on any page relating to genetically modified organisms, commercially produced agricultural chemicals and the companies that produce them, broadly construed, subject to the usual exemptions.

  • May 2016: The Committee declined to mandate a binding RfC on a dispute ( archived request)
  • June 2016: The Committee clarified that the use of discretionary sanctions to enforce a binding RfC was an allowable use of discretionary sanctions ( archived request)
