I am requesting this usurpation of Magnesium based on 2 reasons:

• I am identified by the name Magnesium at numerous other locations on the internet (not within Wikimedia projects, but at other wikis, forums, etc.). In an attempt to have a somewhat consistent "internet name," I would like to edit Wikipedia under the name Magnesium, as well.

• The existing Magnesium added their account over 4 years ago (on July 27, 2005), and has never made a single edit. Their user page contains a single line of nonsensical text.

Yes and no. Nanotech Man would only be renamed to Magnesium on the English Wikipedia, but if you want your sister project accounts to be renamed, you'll need to make those requests at the local rename forums (for example, COM:CHU). Please don't be so conceited. I just forgot, that is all. I'm not a bot, I am a human, I forgot, that's all. That being said, your posting prompted me to think harder than I had before, with the happy result that I managed to remember the password I'd set up for User:MarcFresko, and I logged on to that account - about 6 minutes ago. Prior to logging on, I could not see a way of finding out that I had already made 11 edits as MarcFresko. I have now looked, and can see that it was me. I understand that your rules may not permit you to delete MarcFresko because of these 11 edits.

I understand the risks of using my real name (MarcFresko) instead of MMGarth. My objective is to have future contributions in the name MarcFresko, which I now can do easily. But I would also like past contributions by MMGarth to be recognised by my real name. What do you recommend please? Would a good solution be for me to simply change "MMGarth" to "MarcMFresko", as M is my middle initial?

I am new to Wikipedia and wanted to create an article about the project I work on. I created a username that was generic to the project WRNstaff but was approached by User:Fribbulus Xax who expressed concern that my username represented a group and that went against Wikipedia policy. I went to the Wikipedia:Changing username page and the instructions said that if I had only made a few edits to just create a new username. I did this and created Repositoryhp. However I then worried that I would loose the article I'd created Welsh Repository Network. I approached User:Fribbulus Xax with my query and he said it would be preferable to submit a change of username request. However, from reading further on the page this is not possible as I've already created the new username Repositoryhp. Hence, why I am submitting a username usurption request. User:Fribbulus Xax seemed to think I had more than a valid reason to request this, and that a bureaucrat would be happy to help provided I stated the reasoning clearly.Thanks.-- WRNstaff ( talk) 12:33, 4 November 2009 (UTC) reply

At that time, I couldn't get a rename on SimpleWP, since I was a bit confused, having little knowledge about SUL. Furthermore, I experienced difficulties in using automated tools such as Huggle and AWB. Since I'm quite sure that I will not experience such problems again, I want my account renamed.
