Galor
Is it possible to change my username to Animal Wikipedian? My current name's a bit lame (and I kinda just copied it from someone else >_<) I want to participate more in wikipedia using this account. My current name is Galor.
You have fewer than twenty contributions - why not create a new account instead?

Please change "RDF" to "Richard" because it's more personal.

This is to confirm I still would like my user name changed from "RDF" to "Richard." Thanks.

RichardRDFtalk 13:41, 18 November 2005 (UTC)reply
There is already an account for
User:Richard, although they have not made any edits. If this is you, please sign in and confirm. Otherwise, Richard F or RichardDF are available.

That's just a page I created
[1] before I knew about this request page. You can see
User:RDF redirects to it. The system won't accept my RDF password for
User:Richard, so I'm stuck.

It looks like somebody else created the account for Richard
[2], even though the user page is the one you created later. Is there another name you would like?
Warofdreamstalk 17:51, 18 November 2005 (UTC)reply
I really don't know what you're showing me. That reference goes to my page. I attempted to create a user account after I created the user page. On the flip side, if the account was created before my page, wouldn't that page already exist? This is a
Catch 22 all over again! I apparently shot myself in the foot and I'm not interested in changing to another name.

Is it possible to change
70.27.59.200 to
TheFeds? (Account "TheFeds" has been created, but has no content yet.)

We can only rename accounts for signed-in users, not for anonymous accounts. Why not register an account?
Warofdreamstalk 16:58, 18 November 2005 (UTC)reply
I still want to change my name to this. I will be more active around December.

I would like to change from Anastrophe-wikipedia to the far more logical and elegant Anastrophe. thanks, if ever it might happen.

Hi, this is a reiteration of my request to change usernames from "Anastrophe-wikipedia" to simply "Anastrophe" . i received a message that this is possible now. you may advise when complete by emailing wikipedia@anastrophe.com, however i think i'll figure it out when i'm unable to log in! thank you.
Anastrophe 19:53, 18 November 2005 (UTC)reply
I'm afraid
User:Anastrophe already exists and has made several edits; consequently I'm afraid you can't use that name. Is there another you would like? —

Unfortunately, as explained in the instructions above, it cannot be converted. We can only transfer edits to a nonexistent username. —

ClockworkSoul
Been hoping to have this done for some time: I would like to transfer the history of my previous account,
User:ClockworkTroll, to my current name. Many thanks. –
ClockworkSoul 07:48, 19 November 2005 (UTC)reply
The facility only applies to changes of name where the destination doesn't yet exist. You have to ask the devs directly for this change. On the other hand, you could move those edits over to belonging to
User:ClockworkSoul/Old or even
User:CIockworkSoul!

Nonameform
If it will be possible to change username in the future, I would like to change my "Avel791" to
Nonameform. I have only about 300 edits, so maybe it's easier to register new account?
Avel791 00:33, 16 November 2005 (UTC)reply
It is always easier to register a new account if you are happy to do so. If you have edits which you particularly want reattributed, we can now change your username.
