I understand the instructions regarding naming of accounts, however, we (that is CReSTeD) are no different to organisations such as the Dyslexia Association, and you do allow them a user name. If I make changes to pages they will only be to correct or delete references to CReSTeD made by other organisations so that we can ensure we are not misrepresented. For example: Woodleigh School used to be listed within the Register but are not now, to leave the reference in place would give parents the impression that the school was still capable of providing the tuition needed for their dyslexic child, when this is no longer the case. I want the representatives of these companies to know who has made the change, it makes far more sense that they see CReSTeD has made that change rather than me. I reserve the right to create a CReSTeD page within wikipedia - once I work out how! — Preceding

Please bear in mind that the username policy isn't the only impediment to what you're trying to do.
Role accounts are not generally permitted, regardless of their usernames. The only exceptions do not edit, as far as I'm aware, and exist mostly to make it easier to contact certain Wikimedia functionaries. We do permit individuals to make edits when they have
conflicts of interest, but we expect such people to follow
certain rules, including strict abidance by the one-person-per-account policy. Your account represents you, not your employer. Finally, please note that, while the
International Dyslexia Association does have an article, they do not, to the best of our knowledge, have any official presence on the English Wikipedia -- that is, they do not formally participate in or advise the editing process. Such formal participation, as I have explained, is not permitted, although serious problems may be reported to

other venues by anyone, including the subject. --NYKevin @201, i.e. 03:49, 10 April 2012 (UTC)reply

doppelgänger account (based on "to protect user identity"), but since both have edited in 2011, that seems unlikely, especially since doppelgängers don't need renaming (just create a new one and mark it as such). So that leads me to conclude that it's some other kind of

Reason: The current username (in Persian) contains information about my real name and may put me at risk of harassment.

Bureaucrat note: I filled out the request above before seeing this one. Please elaborate on your reasons for requesting a rename and why two accounts are concerned. —Anonymous DissidentTalk 13:16, 5 April 2012 (UTC)reply
Clerk note: My initial intuition was that it's supposed to be a
doppelgänger account (based on "to protect user identity"), but since both have edited in 2011, that seems unlikely, especially since doppelgängers don't need renaming (just create a new one and mark it as such). So that leads me to conclude that it's some other kind of
alternative account, but we need to know which kind. --NYKevin @716, i.e. 16:10, 5 April 2012 (UTC)reply

Reason: I requested a name change sometime back, but didn't realize that my name wouldn't actually be changed, so much as nicknamed. I'd like to drop rozax and continue with simply using mccojr02. Sorry for the trouble, and thank you for your time. Rozax 03:44, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

Bureaucrat note: You should choose a username which reflects you as an individual rather than anything to do with the company you work for. Your current choice is likely to still raise a few eyebrows should you choose to edit anything related to the company. ···
