Nominator's rationale: The main article is Teen magazine. To pluralize that would be "Teen magazines" as is used in the article List of teen magazines. Adding an "s" and a possessive apostrophe to "Teen" is unnecessary. For comparison, we have Category:Teen sitcoms and Category:Teen films, though the parent category for all of these is Category:Teens' entertainment. Nominator's rationale: A lot of the shows in this cat, like The Flash (2014 TV series), Supergirl (TV series) and Batwoman (TV series) rarely, if ever, even acknowledge the fact that the interracial romances are in fact interracial. and therefore, it's not defining for these categories. This cat should only contain fiction in which the fact that the romance is interracial is important to the plot, like Mixed-ish, Bob Hearts Abishola and Othello. Yiu can have one film where it is only mentioned sparsley in the plot like The Jeffersons but then have a film where it is central conflict or a key characteristic to the primary and secondary characters like in the film Jungle Fever. Nominator's rationale: Considerable overlap and nearly identical names. macOS is the current term for this particular operating system, so all content should be merged in that direction Ten Pound Hammer( What did I screw up now?) 02:08, 28 October 2020 (UTC) reply

:I have not nominated Category:Mac OS character encodings or its subcat, because their names match their contents.Fayenatic London 11:01, 7 November 2020 (UTC) reply

  • Oppose, per what Fayenatic said. There have been two main lines of OS for Macintosh, the classic Mac OS line and the Mac OS X/OS X/macOS line, with the latter being a completely different OS that has, earlier in its history, offered various mechanisms for running software for the former (the Classic Environment, which ran classic Mac OS binaries inside a simulated classic Mac OS, and Carbon plus Preferred Executable Format (PEF) support in Launch Services (if Boring Old exec() fails, Launch Services would run a "PEF runner" program and hand it the file), which allowed application developers to build binaries that would run natively on both the classic Mac OS and Mac OS X). If using "Mac OS" to refer collectively to both OSes is confusing people, then replacing it with "Macintosh" seems a reasonable fix.
And the only native macOS character encodings are UTF-8 (at the UN*X layer) and UTF-16 (on disk in HFS+ and in some layers running atop the UN*X layer), so, yes, there's no need to rename Category:Mac OS character encodings. Guy Harris ( talk) 17:57, 7 November 2020 (UTC) reply
  • So should the encodings cats be renamed Classic Mac OS? – Fayenatic London 08:20, 8 November 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Yes, for the character encodings, "Mac OS" -> "Classic Mac OS" makes sense; they're only used in macOS for backwards compatibility (less important over time). Guy Harris ( talk) 08:28, 8 November 2020 (UTC) reply
    • Thanks, I have added these to the nomination.– Fayenatic London 15:22, 8 November 2020 (UTC) reply
