  • Delete. I'm sorry to say that Dallas Morning News obituary is a paid announcement; it's substantially the same text as the other one. I find another painter named George Stephenson in New York State who has left more of a trace. I'll be happy if more can be found about the Texas gentleman, as an artist or otherwise, but I'm not seeing anything. Yngvadottir ( talk) 21:26, 23 November 2019 (UTC) reply

  • Delete per WP:NARTIST and WP:NOTMEMORIAL. If he were a famous artist, he'd have exhibited in major art galleries or museums outside of his hometown. Dallas does have an internationally-known art scene, but he never exhibited in LA, or NYC, or Venice, Santa Fe, or even Marfa, Texas, from what I can see. A single work of art in one church and "other venues in the Dallas area" (where? a coffee shop? an AA meeting? a school library?) are not enough. His day job appears to have been a counselor for Alcoholics Anonymous, and he no doubt did fine work with persons in recovery, but so does my brother and thousands of other people. • Delete. The lack of available sources other than an obituary suggests that WP:GNG is not met. -- Kinu  t/ c 02:54, 27 November 2019 (UTC) reply
  • Delete not even close to meeting the threshold for notability. John Pack Lambert ( talk) 02:26, 30 November 2019 (UTC) reply
