- Keep, I'm not going to look for the source right now, but at the time this was a prod I found a paper researching how different chime combinations could impart immediate ideas to their audience. For instance to differentiate between routine announcements, warnings, and emergencies. There's certainly an encyclopaedic subject here, it's just waiting for an editor with the enthusiasm to research it. Spinning Spark 16:44, 1 November 2022 (UTC)
