2014 Lubbock mayoral election

This page is on an "election" which did not take place. I think what's there is about the limit to which we can write on it. AllegedlyHuman ( talk) 06:22, 21 June 2021 (UTC) reply

  • Comment The size of the article, or lack thereof, is not a relevant consideration for notability. It's part of a series of articles regarding the mayoral election, it would simply create a need to fill a hole by removing this article. Is there an alternative? What kind of BEFORE was carried out? • Keep I think there needs to be an article to include in the 'series' of Lubbock elections. Perhaps having it only appear in the catergory of Uncontested elections is a solution?. Thanks. Naray14 ( talk) 11:19, 21 June 2021 (UTC) reply
  • Delete Perhaps List of mayors of Lubbock, Texas or Lubbock, Texas#Government could discuss such history, but there is no need for an empty placeholder article for something that did not exist. Reywas92 Talk 05:54, 22 June 2021 (UTC) reply
  • Delete, we have WP:ONEEVENT but this is a WP:NOEVENT. I don't buy the "part of series" argument, this series is better discussed/treated in another way than this. Geschichte ( talk) 08:44, 28 June 2021 (UTC) reply
  • Delete We really should not have an article on an election which did not take place. We do have some articles on uncontested elections, but those races were at least on the ballot. Jackattack1597 ( talk) 10:28, 28 June 2021 (UTC) reply
