^who? The Personal Protective Equipment - PPE is any device or product, used for individual use by the worker, for protection against risks that may threaten their safety and health. The use of this equipment should only be done when you can not take steps to eliminate the risks of the environment in which it develops the activity, ie, when the collective protection measures are not feasible, efficient and sufficient to mitigate the risks and do not provide complete protection against the risks of occupational accidents and / or occupational diseases and work. The collective protection equipment - EPC are devices used in the workplace in order to protect workers from the risks inherent in the processes, such as the enclosure acoustic noise sources, ventilation of the workplace, the protection of moving parts machinery and equipment, safety signs, among others. As the EPC does not depend on the willingness of workers to meet its goals, it has higher preference for the use of PPE, as collaborating in the process minimizing the negative effects of a work environment that presents many hazards to the worker. Therefore, the PPE is required only if the EPC does not mitigate the risks completely or partially provide protection.

As Norm has a 6, the company is required to provide to employees free of charge PPE appropriate to the risk, in perfect condition and operation, in the following circumstances:

Types of PPE

Employer Obligations
