This category is pretty big and and I think undersorted. Most of the target articles have also missed much of my recent European sports sorting because they are too far down the Sport in Foo tree. For now, propose the following templates (upmerged also to Fooian sport stubs) which I am sure will get into double figures. This stub category needs major restructuring. The parent is currently at 1,300 stubs. It's subdivided into 6 province level categories. Problem is, over the last 3 years Madagascar has restructured its subdivisions. Provinces were abolished in favor of 22 regions, which are now the highest level subdivision. See
Regions of Madagascar,
Provinces of Madagascar. I propose creating 22 region level stub templates, retagging, and seeing after a sort which (if any) merit their own

CatScan showed >200 articles in Category:Research institutes. Category:Scientific organization stubs is currently the best-fitting stub, but it's large (>500) and often times don't include the many research institutes that focus on the social sciences because of the connotation with natural sciences. A research institute stub would be better because editors would feel more inclined to include social science institutes. Second, institute has a different connotation than organization in that institutes tend to be in physical proximity (with the largest known exception being the NIH, but even that has a main campus). - Temporal User ( Talk) 05:16, 10 March 2011 (UTC)

For example, Category:2000s film stubs would not have a template of its own but would be a parent for:
Category:2010s film stubs would not house any categories at this time, but would be a second parent for:
I'm asking for permission to build this for as many decades as can support such groupings. Having the general Film stubs by decade parent will provide a home for decades that don't quite support a full category (1890s, for example). Dawynn ( talk) 14:34, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
I had a second thought on this. Should there be templates for the individual decades? (So, a {{ 2010s-film-stub}}, for example) This would allow sorting where we know the year the film was released, but the genre is up for discussion. Dawynn ( talk) 15:05, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

This category is pretty big and and I think undersorted. Most of the target articles have also missed much of my recent European sports sorting because they are too far down the Sport in Foo tree. For now, propose the following templates (upmerged also to Fooian sport stubs) which I am sure will get into double figures. I will come back after sorting with categories so we will have a better idea on them.

Looking at some of the subcats here we could do with atleast some more templates that may lead to more categories
firstly in Alpine skiing I suugest
then in bobsleigh
Finally speed skating
I don't think all the categories will be necessary straight away but we shall see. Waacstats ( talk) 17:38, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

I propose creating 22 region level stub templates, retagging, and seeing after a sort which (if any) merit their own
Category:Foo Region geography stubs. I'm not sure how to name the geo-stubs due to long names, names with apostrophes in them, and names that could be confused with other places (like Sofia Region). Suggestions please.

There are currently 84 stub class articles listed at Category:Stub-Class G.I. Joe articles. There are a variety of stub tags that would fit them, ranging from {{ Animation-char-stub}}, to {{ Marvel-comics-stub}} and {{ Toy-stub}}. I feel that they could all be consolidated under one stub type such as {{ G.I.-Joe-stub}} (similar to {{ Transformers-stub}}), which would make it easier to identify them as part of {{ WikiProject G.I. I am pre-requesting categories where the permcat has more than 40 articles. It's worth noting that the Noctuidae permcat is also oversized, so many of its subcategories may be undersorted. Categories only to be built once 60 articles found. Dawynn ( talk) 13:31, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

62 articles are tagged with {{
Olympic-stub}} and {{
sport-org-stub}} which are mostly National Olympic Committees so I propose a {{
Olympic-org-stub}} with
Category:Olympic organization stubs (upon reaching 60 articles). (An alternative would be the slightly narrower {{
NOC-stub}}/
Category:National Olympic Committee stubs but I don't think it's so good). There's a slight categorisation problem to it though as the natural parent categories would be
Category:Olympics stubs and
Category:Sport organization stubs but Olympics stubs is a subcategory of Sport organization stubs.

I have gone with the parent category name, except for athletics where I have gone with our name as we may need to look at these. also the following may proove useful
The later of those two is assuming we follow the parent cat and include inline hockey and various other forms of hockey. Finally as we already have a norwegian category, the following are all viable
