I hope I've included all relevant information. The numbers are rough estimates, except for the first one, which is precise at time of counting. Please let me know if you've got any further questions. - GTBacchus( talk) 00:44, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Someone has recently been creating a lot of short articles relating to seasons in European hockey. I'm not sure how many off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are enough to warrant creating a stub tag and category. Speaking of which, this weekend I'm going to start trying to work on the European hockey team stubs - there's potential room for some work there. -- Ser Amantio di Nicolao Che dicono a Signa? A proposal, but for a change, something other than a stub type. I'm putting it here because it's more likely to get actioned here than a simple comment on the talk page. {{ Stub}}'s talk page starts with two very useful templates - {{ WikiProject Stub sorting}} and {{ WPSS-talk}}, which read:
and
How often have we seen, at WP:SFD or elsewhere, someone say "this was discussed on the category's talk page"? I think it would be a very good idea if a bot could be used to put these on the talk page of every stub template and category, preferably run regularly so that we ensure it's on all new stub types too.

Category:Queen Maud Land geography stubs is still fairly swollen at about 1200 stubs. QML is divided into five regions, and the best-explored two, Princess Astrid Coast and Princess Martha Coast, will probably account for about 400 stubs each. Therefore:

Not all families have separate permcats, or even articles. All of the family names were pulled from List of subgroups of the order Coleoptera:

Great God - this is an awful place! Finally got this continent just about sorted, though - there are only five categories of Antarctica geo-stubs with over 800 stubs, and of those only two have over 1200: Ross Dependency (1600) and Graham Land (1700). The following should hopefully reduce them considerably:
Two of the other three over-large categories (Victoria Land and Queen Maud Land, about 1150 each) aren't easy to split, but South Shetland geography stubs (currently 1020 stubs) can be easily subdivided:

Just a thought for discussion rather than a firm proposal - is it would having stub templates for mayors for each of the US's states, as subtypes of the politician stubs? The thought came to me while SFD'ing a Montclair-politician-stub which we seem to have inherited. Would a NewJersey-mayor-stub, for mayors of cities/boroughs/towns in New Jersey be useful, and the same for the other states?
