When you've made your recording, and are ready to upload, go to the upload page on Wikimedia Commons.
The filename must be prefixed by "En-" to show that the recording is in English, followed by the article title in
canonicalized form and finally the suffix "-article", as well as the ogg
extension. An example would be: En-Sample lemma-article.ogg
Copy and paste the following template, and fill in the appropriate information. If you're unsure of what to say in each field, look below.

How to fill in the link to the recorded version

With the article you're narrating, go to its revision history. You will see a list of edits made to the article, with each list entry being similar to the following example: One of these list entries will correspond with the version of the article that you have read. This will most likely be the one at the top of the list, if nobody has made any edits since you accessed the page. The date and time, highlighted in bold characters in the above example, will be a link to a historical version of the article. Hover your mouse pointer over it, and you will see something like this:
This is the link required in the spoken article template field. Right-mouse-click on this link, and from the menu that appears, select the option that copies the link itself into your clipboard.
Return to the upload page where you're filling in the template fields, and using the paste command, copy the link from your clipboard to the space directly after the |

In addition, if the recording is broken up into a number of parts, you need to add a line or two to let listeners navigate to:

An example of what this will display is shown here:
Uploaded files can be no larger than 100 mb. If your recording is larger than this, you will need to split it into multiple parts.
When the upload is finished and the file page appears, it's a good idea to add the page to your watch-list, as reviews and discussion of your recording may be put there.
