Scout associations should be categorized into the proper Scouting by country subcategory as well as the appropriate Scouting organizations and associations category. Example: Scouts Australia is in both Category:Scouting in Australia and Category:WOSM member organizations.

Scouting and Scout-like organizations that are not recognized by the World Organization of the Scout Movement or the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts should be placed in Category:Non-aligned Scouting organizations.

Article talk pages use categories to rate by importance or quality, to indicate articles needing attention or other issues. Categories are add by using {{ WikiProject Scouting}}.

These categories are for use on userpages and should never be applied to articles.

• CatScan- search categories with subcategories recursively, for intersection with other categories

Category intersection is a proposal for a new implementation of the category system.
