Wikilinks on this page may or may not be the correct link to an article on the listed restaurants. All these links represent restaurant names as listed by the source. Many links are to DAB pages or non-restaurant articles, therefore the existence of a link does not necessarily mean there is an article on the listed restaurant.
Having recently participated in a Notability discussion on restaurants I thought I’d do a bit of research to see where there might be some holes in our coverage of restaurants. The list below represents the Top 100 Fast Casual chains as reported by Fast Casual Magazine for 2009. "The FastCasual.com Top 100 Movers and Shakers in 2009". Fast Casual.com. Retrieved 2011-01-02. (article); "The FastCasual.com Top 100 Movers and Shakers in 2009" (PDF). Fast Casual.com. Retrieved 2011-01-02. (actual report).
You can see from the list below that ~ 60% of the restaurants mentioned do not have WP articles even while their presence in this coverage clearly supports notability. (names are verbatim from the report and some may have articles under slightly different titles). Additionally, even restaurants with articles, do not alway cite the above coverage in their article. Additionally, FastCasual.com has produced a Top 100 report annually since 2005 and many other chains without WP articles have been covered by those reports.
For everyone of the below listed restaurants, there is a very high probability they have been covered in some way by "Nations Restaurant News". Retrieved 2011-01-02.. A quick search of that site for any of the below listed restaurants is likely to return a significant number of results.
Both FastCasual.com and Nations Restaurant News clearly exist as reliable sources, independent of the subject and will contribute significantly not only to the notability of these restaurants, but also as a source of facts necessary to write good WP articles. Combine those sources with local, regional and national reviews of the below listed restaurants and notability is assured.
