Strigiceps leucopogon - an invalid name (
homonym) - described by in 1840 in Australia - two specimens may have existed or may still exist; one from what was then known as "
New Holland" and one from the Himalaya region. Tentatively identified as a
honeyeater, but reminded one researcher of the
kioea.
