I would like to solicit opinions on whether this article meets the requirements of a Good Article. If not, please let me know how it needs to be improved. It is not neccessary for an article to have an image to pass GA, although it is good if it has one. Have you checked out WP:Finding images tutorial for some tips on finding an image? If that fails you could post at WP:Requested pictures. If you can not find an image it is best to remove the image placeholder as its use is discouraged as is shown at WP:Centralized discussion/Image placeholders.
A brief glance at the article shows that it is well organised and referenced. I did not check out the references.
The lead needs expanding from one sentence. Check out WP:Lead section for some tips. I would suggest that it is near GA standard.

- I have expanded the article's lead, as you suggested. I've also once again tried (and failed) to find a suitable free image on the web. I will post a photo request, but I'm not optimistic that will turn up a photo. Hopefully the lack of an image will not be held against the article. I've listed the article at WP:GAN.
