The Royal Opera House organised an editathon focused on Sir
Frederick Ashton, the Royal Ballet's founding choreographer and one of the foremost figures in twentieth-century ballet, hosted at the Royal Opera House in central London on 22 June 2013. We improved the coverage of Ashton and his works, which are not well represented on Wikipedia. Only around 15% of his ballets have articles, and the main biography had been neglected for several years (although it does exist in fourteen languages!). As well as subject expertise, the ROH provided books and material from their library and archive collections, including ephemera such as newspaper cuttings, photographs, and programmes; the archive holds a portion of Ashton's papers. One of the ROH's ambassadors blogged about this event.
Below is the sign up list before the event. There were 14 attendees on the day - Wikipedia editors: 9 / non‐Wikipedia editors: 5.
