00:09:08, 6 March 2017 review of submission by 1.1.169.186

Can someone please find more sources to add on this draft for Dawgtown? I mean, the movie is one of the most anticipated animated movies currently in the works, and it recently closed its latest Indiegogo campaign with a successful overall pledge of $4,071. 1.1.169.186 ( talk) 00:10, 6 March 2017 (UTC) reply

Hello @ 1.1.169.186:, the problem is all your cites are to really niche sources, or primary sources (like Facebook). Has anticipation of this film been covered in any major/recognized media? MatthewVanitas ( talk) 22:31, 6 March 2017 (UTC) reply

Can someone please find more sources about this animation program?

These are the only other sources I can find on the internet right now.

I don't know how to edit the page. I previously created the page which was deleted by a user, I was then directed to do this first for other users to help edit it.

Hello, Dave. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. The problem that your article faced when it underwent its deletion discussion was the lack of significant independent coverage by reliable sources. Your second attempt here suffers the same problem. You really do need to demonstrate that reliable sources that are independent of the Institute have given it some in-depth coverage. And until you make that demonstration, your draft is unlikely to be accepted for publication. I hope this response has been helpful. NewYorkActuary ( talk) 01:42, 7 March 2017 (UTC) reply

Hi, this helpdesk has been wonderful! I hope I do not have to bother you too much. I have tried to create a sidebox which is traditionally used in Wikipedia to give the "tombstone data about the subject ( a person, William Pittman Lett) of the main page. I am also having trouble linking you to the draft page! Thank you for the kind words about the help desk! We really appreciate it. Please do not worry about bothering us; that is what we are here for. You are referring to an Infobox and Draft:William Pittman Lett. To find an infobox that best fits your subject, look through WP:List of infoboxes#Other person that shows a list of infoboxes for specific occupations. As for the linking issue, I fixed it for you; you left the <!-- -->, which leaves a comment in the editor. JTP ( talkcontribs) 15:57, 6 March 2017 (UTC) reply

Ten days ago someone made a comment on a draft article I'd submitted and I both tried to implement the improvement suggested and responded to the comment on the article's talk page, also pinging the person from my talk page where they had left a message. Now, ten days later, I'm wondering whether this comment takes the draft out of consideration, or whether I should delete the comment after responding to it. How can I be sure that the draft is in line for consideration? Jzsj ( talk) 17:56, 6 March 2017 (UTC) reply

Your draft is currently awaiting review, as noted by the template placed at the top of your draft. JTP ( talkcontribs) 20:53, 6 March 2017 (UTC) reply

Request on 17:58:33, 6 March 2017 for assistance on AfC submission by Erics101

I am modeling this page after /info/en/?search=CA_Workload_Automation_AE. It has one reference and that reference is an acquisition which is not notable. My reference seems to be more "notable" than that one. Not sure why my article gets rejected but the one I am modeling makes it through. Not sure what else I need to do to pass muster.

Erics101 ( talk) 17:58, 6 March 2017 (UTC) reply

Hello, Eric. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. With over 5 million user-generated articles, it is inevitable that there are some that do not meet our standards for notability, and yet continue to exist simply because no one has gotten around to addressing them. The other article that you mention seems to be one of those that would not survive a deletion nomination. But the existence of that article does not mean that we will be lowering our standards for other articles. In the case of your draft, you have not shown that this software has been the subject of significant coverage by sources that are reliable and independent of the developer. Without showing that kind of significant coverage, it is unlikely that your draft will be accepted for publication. I hope this response has been helpful. 22:58:15, 6 March 2017 review of submission by Dimiter Yordanov

Hi there, I want to know how I can get my article approved so that there is a proper reference to me on Wikipedia. My name is beginning to gain notoriety, as I am the composer of a Netflix TV Series and Sony Film, and I am working on future releases and notable productions. My article was recently declined with the message, "IMDB and Press Releases are not valid evidence." What kind of references could I provide that would adequately represent my notability?

Thank you, Dimiter

Hello, Dimiter. Although writing an autobiography for Wikipedia is not strictly prohibited, it is very much discouraged. You might want to read WP:AUTO for more background on this. As for your particular question, you should be looking for reliable sources that demonstrate that you have met one or more of the criteria set forth in WP:MUSICBIO. Without such sources, it is unlikely that your autobiography will be accepted for publication. I hope this response has been helpful. NewYorkActuary ( talk) 01:55, 7 March 2017 (UTC) reply
