Greetings,
Hoping all is well to whomever this may concern. I am contacting you for some help on a wikipedia page (Los Poetas) that I have been trying to publish on Wikipedia. I have read all of the material and pre-requisites prior to my submission and felt that I had enough substantial material to realize the page but have been rejected a couple of times already. After the first rejection, I made some revisions as to the concern for rejection but have just recently been rejected a second time after a resubmission. If someone could help me out and give me some more specific reasons for the rejections this would be greatly appreciated, as I am new to the WikiWorld and am unsure of how to proceed to get the article posted.

- @ OneMind604:
- Eliminate the references that point to content created by the band - the vivo, wu-latino, and CBC Music streaming. These aren't independent of the subject, and either support statements that aren't encyclopedic and should be removed (e.g. "soon after, CBC Radio released the album for streaming on their website.") or don't support the statement where they're cited. For example, 'This collaboration and joining of camps led to the release of "Los Poetas"', is not proven by a link to a Los Poetas music video. All such a link proves is that a Los Poetas music video exists.
- You are allowed to cite dead links, but try to replace them with equivalent working links. Replace the SoundCloud citation with a citation that fully describes the original source material - a CBC radio program - even if it isn't available online.
- The bulk of any article is supposed to be based on independent, reliable, secondary sources. Only one such source is immediately obvious in the draft, MAS.SV. The Kawartha article doesn't support the statement "The group visited Xela (Quetzaltenango), Guatemala, where they spearheaded a humanitarian effort to donate art supplies to Casa de M.A.I.Z; a free art school blending hip hop and Mayan traditions for youth at risk." Indeed, because of the way the draft is written, it isn't clear that Kawartha has anything to do with the draft. It's only after reading other sources that it becomes clear that Louwop is Luis Segura. Slash most of the content that can't be traced to an independent, reliable, secondary source.

Dear all,
in may 2015, a group of PhD students of the SHeMat network cooperated on the ccreation of a new Wikipedia article on Self Healing Materials, being the common subject of their various PhD theses. Self Healing Materials are now in active research concerning a number of material classes, including polymers, composites, concrete, coatings, ceramics, metals, ... The initiative started when they found that the existing "Self Healing Materials" article in Wikipedia really only polymer-based systems are described, and that the page therefore does not cover the subject as a whole. Upon first submission, the article was retracted by Winner 42, stating that an article with the same name already exists. Now we propose the following: The existing page is actually a quite nice sum up for Self-Healing Polymers, and should be renamed accordingly. Simultaneously, the new article can be uploaded as "Self-Healing Materials" and will contain also a link to the page that is specialized more to polymers. We suggested that in the discussion with the reviewer (may 27, 2015) and it was found a good and interesting idea. He suggested a merge of the existing article with the new sketch, and then to move off the (old) information to a new page named "Self-Healing Polymers". However, I am not quite an expert in Wikipedia and do not know how to do that. Can you assist me in this issue?

- The existing page is Self-healing material, with no final "s". The best place to discuss your proposal may be its talk page. Another article, which you may be able to improve, is Energetically modified cement – it certainly needs improvement. Maproom ( talk) 16:22, 8 September 2015 (UTC)

When writing articles what is the best way to start them off esp if writing them from the beginning?

- Starting off by writing articles is a mistake. Creating a new article is really difficult, compared to many of the other improvements you could make to Wikipedia. I suggest that you read some existing articles on subjects that interest you, and try to improve them, by correcting spelling or grammar, or adding references, or whatever else you think needs doing. Hi, my first very poor attempt at creating this page was declined - and re-reading the copy it six months on I can see why. So, moving on.... I'm concerned that what I have written here is too short, but it's neutral and verifiable through third party citations so it feels like a good start. I haven't succeeded in moving it to a Draft:Ambix page either, I didn't have permission. Any feedback or ideas on what should be there? Hello Surfboy! Hope all is well. I have taken the time and effort to cite all sources using footnotes. Therefore I am hopeful that I have meet Wikipedia's minimum standard for citations via footnote. Kindly approve my submission based on this documentation.
- Three comments:
- The reviewer who rejected your article is called Sulfurboy, not Surfboy.
- If you resubmit your article, it will probably be a different editor who reviews it.
- The "References" section of your draft is an unreadable mess, full of things like "N File:IVMF0000.pdf (User created page with UploadWizard) (current)", and if you submit it in its current state, it will certainly be rejected again. Look at almost any Wikipedia article to see how references should be cited.

Greetings,
Hoping all is well to whomever this may concern. I am contacting you for some help on a wikipedia page (Los Poetas) that I have been trying to publish on Wikipedia. I have read all of the material and pre-requisites prior to my submission and felt that I had enough substantial material to realize the page but have been rejected a couple of times already. After the first rejection, I made some revisions as to the concern for rejection but have just recently been rejected a second time after a resubmission. If someone could help me out and give me some more specific reasons for the rejections this would be greatly appreciated, as I am new to the WikiWorld and am unsure of how to proceed to get the article posted.
