This page is designed to facilitate the nomination and review process for articles on countries for
Wikipedia:Version 0.5 (V0.5), the test CD release designed to pave the way for
Wikipedia:Version 1.0.
All articles have now been reviewed.
This page allows articles on countries to bypass the
general V0.5 nomination page, going straight from this page to the main Version 0.5 page once approved.

Oceania is a geopolitical region, rather than a geographical continent, consisting of many countries in the
Pacific Ocean, including the continent of Australia and the
Pacific Islands. Note that some islands located within the boundaries of the Pacific Ocean are not considered parts of Oceania (e.g., Japan).
Territorial claims of sovereign states to Antarctica and its outlying islands south of 60°S are held in abeyance under the terms of the
Antarctic Treaty System. Antarctic islands north of 60°S include:

Republic of China
Two territories de facto not independent but recognized by many countries as sovereign (country names in bold italics): The
Palestinian territories and
Western Sahara
