- I read that documentation, but it appears that nobody has decided to use this template. The page at
Snooker world rankings 2020/2021, which would probably be the page to use it, uses plain text inside tables. Should we redirect this template subpage, as was apparently done (without discussion?) at {{
Snooker season points/2019/2020}}, or just delete it? It can be recreated if it is needed, by copying and modifying one of the other year subpages. –

- I don't think the templates should be deleted just yet. These ranking articles are going through a bit of a transition: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Snooker#Merge_ranking_point_season_lists. I don't know quite what the plans are for the templates. They may be adapted into the merged lists, they may be not, so personally I would just redirect them to the parent template for now: {{ Snooker season points}}. Snooker world rankings 2020/2021, which would probably be the page to use it, uses plain text inside tables. Should we redirect this template subpage, as was apparently done (without discussion?) at {{
Snooker season points/2019/2020}}, or just delete it? It can be recreated if it is needed, by copying and modifying one of the other year subpages. –

- I don't think the templates should be deleted just yet. These ranking articles are going through a bit of a transition: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Snooker#Merge_ranking_point_season_lists. I don't know quite what the plans are for the templates. They may be adapted into the merged lists, they may be not, so personally I would just redirect them to the parent template for now: {{ Snooker season points}}. These timelines duplicate info already in prose and tabular forms in player season articles, e.g. 2011 Novak Djokovic tennis season. They are also difficult to understand at a glance, and those with text become completely unreadable on narrow screens as the text merges over itself.
