The following discussion is an archived debate of the case of suspected sockpuppetry. Please do not modify it. No further edits should be made to this page. All edits should go to the
talk page of this case. If you are seeing this page as a result of an attempt to open a new case of sockpuppetry of the same user,
read this for detailed instructions.
As mentioned on
Talk:Dead Kennedys, this sock puppet, who makes the same arguments as RobertW, has the same IP as his main account, as well as his email address.
He is trying to pass off as another person backing his opinion, which is a clear violation of
WP:SOCK.
The user page for
Dead-kennedys (
talk·contribs) redirects to
RobertW (
talk·contribs); there is no attempt to conceal the fact that the two accounts are the same person. Wikipedia does not
require its editors to log on, although it is generally encouraged, so other editors can easily see your contribution history. It is not considered to be a case of sockpuppetry if a user doesn't always log in.
