Evidence

User:TheActuary appears to be a sock puppet for User:Avraham.

First, all of TheActuary's edits on the article for the Actuarial Outpost are to revert the article back to Avraham's version after someone makes an edit changing some of Avraham's work.

Second, nearly all of The Actuary's comments on the talk page for the Actuarial Outpost article either agree with Avraham or insult those who disagree with Avraham. Typical comments by TheActuary in this discussion include:

"Mentions of individual members are unnecessary, agree with Avi."
"Avraham, these are excellent points that you have spelled out concretely and absolutely. Well done."
"This guy does come up with some good sockpuppet names. Probably not even an actuary, though, just an unemployed troublemaker, tsk tsk."

Third, TheActuary's account was created on the same day as the Actuarial Outpost article, perhaps to lend additional support to Avraham's view on this topic.

Fourth, TheActuary has almost no edits beyond the article for the Actuarial Outpost.

Comments

TheActuary is not a sockpuppet, and is an actuary. TheActuary is someone who less time on their hands than SkipSmith, and thus does few edits or comments, but has Wikipedia interests beyond the Actuarial Outpost. Nice try, troublemaker. TheActuary, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Please see Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Skipsmith

I have not followed through with a sockpuppetry allegation; I was hoping they would be quiescent, but perhaps it is time. Further, I know who User:TheActuary is in real life, and although we agree on many issues, we are not the same. Further, an even cursory analysis of my and user:TheActuary's posting styles will show that outside of actuarial pursuits, we have very little in common, unlike the list of throwaway id's that I have catalogued here: Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Skipsmith. Those may all be sockpuppets, or perhaps a small number of meatpuppets. Skip is a person who either was banned from the Actuarial Outpost, or is close to someone who is, and I am afraid that his, or her, resentment against the Outpost, s/he is trying to do damage by whatever means possible.

Any investigation will undoubtedly reveal the truth of my statements. I wonder if Skip et. al. can withstand such scrutiny. I hope that we will find out, using proper Wikipedia protocol.

Thank you. -- Avi 13:53, 25 July 2006 (UTC) reply
