Suspected sockpuppets

Evidence submitted by The Enforcer Office of the secret service

User:Vyaghradhataki is a notorious POV-pusher and sockpuppetteer who had been blocked indefinitely for violating Wikipedia rules. However, he tried his best to make a comeback using profiles as User:Kaadavarkon, User:Sree mrida, etc. When most of his socks were blocked and his efforts frustrated, Vyaghradhataki used anon IPs to vandalize his favorite articles. When his regular targets, Iyer, Vadama and Brahacharanam were semi-protected, he responded by creating another sock, User:Svr014.

: My user account and IP address are completely different from that of User:Vyaghradhataki. The admin can verify this fact. Svr014 ( talk) 15:09, 7 July 2009 (UTC) reply

It seems Vyaghradhataki has very cleverly faked his new profile. While previously he used to target articles Iyer and Vadama, he started now by targetting Iyengar article and then moving to Vadama. This appears to me a measure to mislead the admins. However, User:Svr014 poses as a Vadakalai Iyengar and appears to have been uttering casteist comments and making personal comments on User:Srikanth's caste. This is probably a move to portray Vadakalai Iyengars in bad light (i.e. as racists, etc).

: I am NOT an Indian and am a proud American. This claim by "> Office of the secret service is flawed in my opinion. I just asked for proof and did not question the credibility of the source. Please do not use the words racist, you are indulging in incivility. Svr014 ( talk) 15:09, 7 July 2009 (UTC) reply

Evidence:

  • User:Svr014 feels that Ramanuja was not a Vadama. See [1] reasoning that the references were unreliable. This is exactly similar to Vyaghradhataki questioning existing sources and saying that the Vadamas did not have a presence in South India prior to the Vijayanagar Empire. See [2]. Svr014, like Vyaghradhataki, has been frequently questioning the veracity of the sources provided.
: Several people may have different POV and different grasp of information from a multitude of sources. You cannot expect all people to agree to what you are saying. Also, note that just because two or more people have similar POV and similar knowledge of facts and information, they are NOT one and the same person. Svr014 ( talk) 15:09, 7 July 2009 (UTC) reply
In one place, Svr014 claims that Vadama Iyers are not related to Vadakalai Iyengars and makes personal attacks to defend his claim. At another place, he claims that Vadama Iyers and Vadakali Iyengars have the same set of gothras i.e. ancestry. I doubt his actual intentions. Now is this a mere gimmick? - The Enforcer Office of the secret service 13:42, 8 July 2009 (UTC) reply

  • User:Svr014 started to edit Vadama article soom after it was semi-protected from vandalism. See here.
: I did not edit vadama completely, I just asked for citation to some of the claims made by Ravichandar84. I asked him to defend his claims in the talk page and expressed my polite and professional opinions in the talk page. He started accusing me blindly and tends to take normal statements made by me in a wrong way. Svr014 ( talk) 15:09, 7 July 2009 (UTC) reply
: I gave a scholarly source and a scholar's contact information. Dr. Sadagopan is a scholar in Vaishnavism and Engineering. NO harm Svr014 ( talk) 15:09, 7 July 2009 (UTC) reply
  • User:Svr014's tirades against User:Srikanth asking whether he is a Thengalai Iyengar and whether I am a Brahmin in the provided diffs seem too similar to User:Vyaghradhataki's racist utterances. User:Svr014, like Vyaghradhataki, has been labelling cited content as rubbish, etc.

I used the words "Just out of curiosity, are you a Thenkalai Iyengar?". I also mentioned that "If you are a non-brahmin, your understanding of brahmins in general will always tend to be miniscule". There is no harm in these two sentences. Also, I just gave a professional caution mentioning a statement like this "Please do not post rubbish and nonsensical material on WP." I think Ravichandar84 is indulging in incivility by making personal attacks. His claims are abyssmal (baseless). Svr014 ( talk) 15:09, 7 July 2009 (UTC) reply

: There is no evidence of Vyaghradhataki's edit in the link you have mentioned. Vyaghradhataki was blocked way back in summer of 2008. This is summer 2009 and only you have edited that page. Please do not mislead people. Svr014 ( talk) 15:09, 7 July 2009 (UTC) reply

  •  Clerk note: Other than the normal disputes over caste articles, I'm not seeing anything that directly links Vyaghradhataki to Svr014. Is this a case that YellowMonkey has been involved with in the past? Nathan T 15:27, 7 July 2009 (UTC) reply

I wasn't ever aware of Vyaghradhataki, but it seems that his old IPs have been tagged as India. Svr is on the other side of the world. Of course, he could have moved but if he is plastering nonsense everywhere he can be blocked normally. YellowMonkey ( cricket calendar poll!) paid editing=POV 05:00, 8 July 2009 (UTC) reply
