Joe Castillo Dr. ? has claimed "over 38 blocked accounts" and lists "work" by three of the above "Doctor Questionmark" socks, plus "Flech". He is continuing to create new "Doctor Questionmark" accounts and use these to brag about his intention to use multiple IPs to edit disruptively. While I'm happy enough to apply WP:DUCK and play whack-a-mole with these obvious socks, I'm requesting a checkuser with a view to sanctions such as a possible rangeblock being applied to the underlying IP. I note that the IP above has not made any contributions for some time, however the contibution history, such as this edit, show an association with the sockpuppeteer and may aid in defining a rangeblock. Tonywalton  Talk 16:00, 8 May 2009 (UTC) reply

Added Marty Clark Marty clark and Marty Marty Clark as creators of the original (now deleted per AfD) article Joe castillo. IPs on the AfD talkpage are probably stale. Tonywalton  Talk 16:38, 8 May 2009 (UTC) reply

Added 23 January after further activity -- MegaSloth ( talk) 01:04, 23 January 2010 (UTC) reply

Evidence submitted by MegaSloth

Earlier today, the user JC1123581321 was created. This user created the page Joseph J. Castillo [1], which from the edit history appeared to be a direct copy of the page Anthony Page, which was then edited by 24.190.150.146 ( talk · contribs · WHOIS) to make it appear to be a separate page. Striking resemblances between the filmographies still appear however. Given that the page claims the individual is a Tony winner, I attempted to ascertain if anyone of this name ever won a Tony, but could not by Google or by looking at http://www.tonyawards.com/en_US/index.html. After this good faith search, I was satisfied this was a hoax and so added the {{ db-hoax}} template to the page [2]. Later, Sgt. Joe deleted the template as other users are permitted to do [3]. He also left a comment on Talk:Joseph J. Castillo. Given that I was still sure this was a hoax, I found it surprising that another user might have heard of the individual and talked about hin in such glowing terms. On investigation, I found that this user was created very recently, after the speedy deletion template was applied [4]. I find this to be an extraordinary set of coincidences, and thus wonder if Sgt. Joe is a sockpuppet of JC1123581321, created for the specific purpose of removing the template neither he nor his IP could reasonably remove. -- MegaSloth ( talk) 16:23, 21 January 2010 (UTC) reply

Further activity since initial report

Since the initial report, there has been further vandalism activity associated with the IP and the {{ db-hoax}} request:
I wonder if this is part of a wider campaign of vandalism using sockpuppetry? -- MegaSloth ( talk) 01:12, 23 January 2010 (UTC) reply
Also note edits mentioning Castillo from the same IP going back to 24 March 2009 [9] [10] [11] [12]

Since this individual chose to use his real name and to boast that he was editing from a school, it stands to reason that if we can determine the school, we can get this kid into a heap of well-deserved trouble. We may have to play whack-a-mole if he decides to access this site via libraries, public terminals, etc., but at the same time, we can give him some really serious food for thought when his principal calls him on the carpet.
