Suspected sockpuppets

See User talk:Optim, as well as their creation of their own user and user talk space with random characters. All accounts created are similar with character set and immediate edit behavior afterwards. Creating an SPI per DoRD's request that I do so, and after CU blocks were made. Quack, quack. Account created specifically to edit-war to reinsert material that had previously been added by the indeffed main account, and within ten minutes reported the user who had reverted the indeffed account on ANI. Hijiri 88 ( 聖 やや) 01:23, 6 February 2017 (UTC) reply

Shit. Is it too late to request CU? The new account is obviously NOTHERE and so could be blocked for non-sockpuppetry reasons anyway, but the whole reason for opening an SPI was to confirm that. Hijiri 88 ( 聖 やや) 01:24, 6 February 2017 (UTC) reply
And to check for sleepers. The "main account" was blocked because it was found by CU to be part of a massive sock farm, and it stands to reason that more than one new one was created after the rest were blocked. See Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ψάλ.
I admit, before opening this SPI I probably should have looked into why the earlier account was blocked and opened a new case at the original SPI location, but in my defense the fact that User:Chrisanthi Likousi is a confirmed sockpuppet was not marked anywhere on either their user page or their user talk page. I guess since my error in not requesting CU has already been corrected for me then this case will go ahead under the current title and be merged after being closed, but I really don't know how that process works anyway.

The account was already blocked by User:Someguy1221, but I think it's extremely likely there are other accounts and (although I don't want to go into too much detail why I think this, per WP:BEANS) it's even more likely now, so still requesting CU before this gets closed. Another Hellas vs. Greece SPA but with a twist! Absinthia Stacy 19 edited several articles adding more to the Hellas vs. Greek edit-war. Particularly on Names of the Greeks. Upon reverting that and an incorrect DAB edit, the user retired, much like Maria Kappatou did. Also worth noting that both Maria & Absinthia readded the Hellas vs. Greece stuff back into the same article. Additionally, it is highly suspicious that this user appeared two days after Absinthia Stacy 13 who shares several behavioral patterns with many of the blocked socks here, particularly with respect to the Windows ME debacle (unrelated to the Hellas vs. Greece debate, but still behaviorally similar.) Also worth adding that apparently Absinthia Stacy is the name of a Greek model which may be in violation of username policy. Chrissymad ❯❯❯ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 00:11, 8 February 2017 (UTC) reply

  • Definitely them. Absinthia Stacy 19 is clearly on proxies (just by source country) and while there is a lack of technical evidence for the one I added I'm blocking both behaviorally. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 06:22, 8 February 2017 (UTC) reply
  • To be clear, Jiji may be Wikinger, but is definitely not this user. Username translates to Dimitris Koutsouvelis and user is continuing to change instances of Greek to Hellenic/Hellas etc... behaviorally very similar. K Plakidas has also been blocked for obvious socking via their edits on the SPI.
