I had already blocked the two suspected socks for one week each before I saw this report. If a checkuser were performed it might justify longer blocks for all those involved. EdJohnston ( talk) 03:31, 16 April 2009 (UTC) reply

Blocks extended to indef per the suggestion of User:Synergy. I will keep an eye on the behavior of User:NonResidentFellow. No need for a checkuser. I suggest that this report be closed. EdJohnston ( talk) 19:40, 16 April 2009 (UTC) reply

Suspected sockpuppets

All the above suspected sock accounts exhibit the same behavioral characteristics common to NonResidentFellow and his previous socks: They are SPAs who add negative information about pro-Israeli lobby groups (AIPAC) sourced to IRmep, the unreliable web site of an organization based in Washington DC (same location as the two suspected IP socks), or to books by GRant F Smith, founder and research director of IRMep, self-published by IRmep. Their edit summaries invariably wrongly describe the actions of other editors who revert them as "vandalism": Fta expert:

  • adds negative material about AIPAC, sourced to IRmep: [1]
  • when reverted, reverts back and calls it "vandalism": [2]
  • This identical content was added by NRF, who also calls its prior removal "vandalism": [3]
  • The material was originally added and sourced to IRMep by IP 70.108.214.174 [4]

Shalman Zapiro (currently blocked for a violation of user name policy [was adding negative info about a living person , Zalman Shapiro, while mocking his name):

  • adds negative material about NUMEC (subject of a book by Grant Smith), sourced to IRmep: [5],
  • objects to description of IRmep as unreliable: [6]
  • and accuses 'Israel lobbyists ' of trying to cover it up: [7]
  • This material originally added to the article, sourced to IRmep, by NRF: [8]
  • NRF also added other negative material about Shapiro, again sourced to IRMep: [9]
  • this same material was restored to the article by Allpowerful zorg, with an edit summary calling the prior revert "vandalism": [10], and [11]

Apollo Steel, on American Israel Public Affairs Committee

  • adds negative material about AIPAC, sourced to IRmep, calling previous revert "vandalism": [12], and [13], and [14]
  • All of this material was originally put into the article, sourced to IRMEp by either NRF (see e.g [15], or his confirmed sock Rabbi Elmer Darwish Mahmoud Berger : [16]

On the same article: 3456truth:

Compliments to you for your clear and well-supported report. The following are all  Confirmed with each other:

As for the rest:

  • It is  Possible to  Likely that Allpowerful zorg is related.
  • 3456truth is  Stale

Everything in the archive for NonResidentFellow itself is  Stale, however it seems straightforward behaviourally. As usual, no comment on the given IPs per CheckUser policy. WilliamH ( talk) 14:31, 25 March 2012 (UTC) reply

These are all the same on behavioral evidence, and as such all accounts have been indefinitely blocked and tagged. -- MuZemike 19:09, 25 March 2012 (UTC) reply
