Suspected sockpuppets

Evidence submitted by RadioFan ( talk)

Only contributions from either account are to Lisa Pegher, a spammy article deleted once already for a copyvio of the artist's official biography. Appears to be switching between accounts to avoid accusation of autobiography or COI. RadioFan ( talk) 02:24, 30 December 2009 (UTC) reply

I think the comments below clear the matter up sufficiently. I've been watching this article since it was (re)created 2 days ago, thought it had been deleted for copyvio reasons, then saw restoration edits from an admin. Turns out that admin was actually restoring earlier versions of this article. I didn't notice the dates of those earlier edits and incorrectly suspected sock puppetry. This case can be closed. -- RadioFan ( talk) 17:45, 30 December 2009 (UTC) reply

  • I think the check against User:Lpegher1 would be stale because of the last editing date (which was 2+ years ago). CheckUser data wouldn't show much I think. -- Bsa dow ski1 02:56, 30 December 2009 (UTC) reply
  • The only indication of sockpuppetry, as far as I can see, is that this user recreated an article (from web-based sources) in 2009 that had been created in 2007 by a different user. The current user may be a fan or friend of the article subject, and there seems no reason to think this is User:Lpegher1 returning to the article after it was left deleted for 2 years -- at least I see no such indications. I restored the 2007 revisions, which had been deleted, IMO improperly, under WP:CSD#A7, today. DES (talk) 06:13, 30 December 2009 (UTC) reply
