@ Girth Summit: regarding your question below to TBOTNL, not meaning to put words in TBOTNL's mouth, but LillyEnd1937 was likely spamblocked for activity related to the Lilly Endowment (founded 1937), as a Google search for "Lilly Endowment" along with either "Charles Venable" or "Martin Webb" (or both) turns up some interesting connections.

• Martinwebb is  Confirmed to LillyEnd1937, who is spamublocked (which I don't quite understand - Blade, can you shed any northern light on that?).
• Martini3202 is also  Unlikely to the above, again being in a different part of the same large country.

• OK - I've blocked the confirmed accounts. Two were clearly created by the same person to improperly influence the discussion; LillyEnd1937 was created by Martinwebb after they had been warned about COI issues, and was used to edit the same article they had been warned about. I would be surprised if the non-confirmed accounts had not been canvassed to the AfD discussion in some way, but the closer will take that into account. • The CU data says  Unrelated or at best,  Unlikely. I agree that it's almost certain that the AfD was tainted by canvassing and/or socking, but given that it has been closed, it seems pointless (and contrary to WP:BLOCKP) to continue to invest electrons on this. -- RoySmith (talk) 14:44, 5 June 2022 (UTC) reply
