User Eimukas22 was banned on 12 January 2017 after a long history of problematic, if well intentioned editing, including introducing/updating statistics with no sources ( diff, diff), putting economic forecasts into infoboxes ( diff, diff), introducing and constantly updating USD exchange rates into infoboxes ( diff, diff), constantly rounding economic data with no regard for precision or sources ( diff, diff, diff) and changing pictures in economy articles ( diff). Particular favourites were Lithuania and Economy of Lithuania articles, as well as List of European countries by average wage and List of European countries by minimum wage.

Mongolas22 was created on 21 January. Apart from a very similar name, the only two edits were an unnecessary rounding of economic statistics ( diff) and introducing GDP forecasts to the article on Lithuania ( [1]). The account has not been used since, but may be a sleeper account.

Account Nonenonenonez was created on 24 January and took over the same duties. Rounding of economic data ( diff), introducing forecasts ( diff). Nonenonenonez and Eimukas22 accounts also obsessively edited the List of European countries by average wage. This account also introduced generally hostile edits and vandalism and was promptly banned on 16 February 2017.

Account Australiaslithuanian was registered on 23 February. It went straight to editing the List of European countries by average wage, rounding economic statistics ( diff, diff), changing pictures of economy articles ( diff), updating exchange rates ( diff) and updating statistics with no sources ( diff, diff). Adding unsourced info on Lithuania about the economy, as well as other stuff (see contribs). Not the exact same contribs per se, but might be a change of behaviour/interests -- thus CU needed. !dave 10:57, 2 December 2017 (UTC) reply

  • Aye crepes! I momentarily forgot about CU data only being available for the past 3 months...-.- !dave 17:15, 2 December 2017 (UTC) reply
  • @ Vanjagenije: Without CU, this case seems behaviourally moot unfortunately, but you can judge for yourself. Diffs from what the sockmaster would do Lithuania articles: [2] [3] [4]. Diffs of what the sock is doing are placed above (I don't need to repeat). I believed that the sockpuppet may have changed tack regarding their behaviour, but still perform the same problematic edits -- again, without CU, it is hard to confirm that this person is the same user. Sorry. !dave 17:57, 2 December 2017 (UTC) reply

  • @ My name is not dave:  Additional information needed. In order to facilitate and expedite your request, please provide diffs to support your case. Please give two or more diffs meeting the following format:
  1. At least one diff is from the sockmaster (or an account already blocked as a confirmed sockpuppet of the sockmaster), showing the behaviour characteristic of the sockmaster.
  2. At least one diff per suspected sockpuppet, showing the suspected sockpuppet emulating the behaviour of the sockmaster given in the first diff.
  3. In situations where it is not immediately obvious from the diffs what the characteristic behaviour is, a short explanation must be provided. Around one sentence is enough for this. Vanjagenije (talk) 17:40, 2 December 2017 (UTC) reply

Both accounts are primarily editing economics-related pages. Like the master account, both of them edited Lithuania and Economy of Lithuania pages in addition with other pages as can be seen in Editor Interaction Analyser. The File:GNI per capita(Lithuania).jpg was created by Eimukas22 and added by Mylasttime (already banned sockpuppet account of him, diff 1), which was replaced with File:Countries with larger GDP PPP per capita than Lithuania in 1995 vs 2017.jpg that was created and added by Radom1967 with the IP editor adding a source to the caption ( diff 2, diff 3, diff 4). I additionally want to list Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of Eimukas22, because all of those sockpuppets (IPs not included since there are even more of them) have either edited or added content created by Eimukas22, and it is hard to keep track of all the changes made by them that might possibly tie these two editors to the sockmaster. Suspected sockpuppets

I have previously reported this editor as being a sockpuppet of Eimukas22 in December 2018, but the closing admin took no action. Five years later I decided to re-visit this case. Radom1967 just like the sockmaster and other sockpuppets primarily edits List of European countries by average wage, List of European countries by minimum wage, Economy of Lithuania, Lithuania and Vilnius pages. Their main editing areas are related to economics (wages, GDP, etc). Most already-blocked sockpuppets have not made past 100 edits as they were quickly discovered so I will show the Editor Interaction Analyzer's comparison of Eimukas22 (sockmaster), Nonenonenonez (275 edits) and Radom1967:

I also went to Wikimedia Commons where File:Regional GDP per capita.png is uploaded. The file was uploaded by the sockmaster and was then updated by Radom1967. It would not look suspicious, but the file did not have any categories in December 2018 when Radom1967 made the first update. In addition, this particular file was formerly added to Economy of Lithuania by Mylasttime ( talk · contribs) (another sockpuppet). I very much doubt that it is possible to find a file that does not have any categories unless you are the uploader.

While searching for other sockpuppets that were not tagged I found Baltics22 ( talk · contribs) (another sockpuppet) who managed to make 50 edits before being blocked. The strangest thing is that there are pages that were not edited by the sockmaster, but were edited by Radom1967:

Jotvingis994 ( talk · contribs) is the another sockpuppet of Eimukas22 that was blocked in February 2018. There are pages that were not edited by the sockmaster, but were edited by Jotvingis994 and Radom1967.

The EIA shows a clear connection, because it is impossible to have that many similar pages (with other sockpuppets also having overlapping pages).

The sockmaster once said (after getting blocked) – this account has no reputation I don't care. If would do any edit everyone will notice it. So I will create a newones I don't care on 23 March 2017 by Eimukas22. – sbaio 15:53, 24 December 2023 (UTC) reply

Update: Radom1967 has edited his user page to hide his connection to Lithuania after receiving the notice about this SPI. In this edit links to editor's Reddit accounts were removed. Two of those account names are similar to what some sockpuppet accounts were named. This is clearly the same person, because why would you immediately try to hide it? – sbaio 06:08, 25 December 2023 (UTC) reply

  • Comment. Edits from 84.15.0.0/16 are also reminiscent of Eimukas22/Radom1967 (same topics). In addition, a completely new editor by the name of Soccsksargen1 ( talk · contribs) has recently been created and went straight to economic-related topics ( Editor Interaction Analyzer comparison with Radom1967). I think a WP:CheckUser should be used to determine the possible relation between the three editors. – sbaio 15:51, 22 January 2024 (UTC) reply
