Evidence submitted by TrustTruth

User:ElijahStone has only made 3 edits: (1) creation of David Nelson (Utah activist) article; (2) insertion of reference to this new article into the Template:CannonFamily template; and (3) some formatting cleanup.

Subsequently, ip 98.202.221.36 has been used to flesh out both the David Nelson (Utah activist) article as well the User:David Nelson user page.

Clearly, these two users and the ip are the same person.

Clerk endorsed It is possible that they are working together here. Kevin Rutherford ( talk) 21:07, 3 June 2010 (UTC) reply

No comment on the IP.  Inconclusive  Possible that ElijahStone ( talk · contribs) is related, given that they are editing from the same metro area. There are no other accounts related to these two. Cool Hand Luke 12:16, 4 June 2010 (UTC) reply
I see sufficient similarities in behavior to conclude that these are the same people. ES indefinitely blocked and tagged, DN warned.

The article David Nelson (Utah activist) was created by User:ElijahStone, who was blocked as a sock puppet of User:David Nelson. Since then, the article seems to attract a steady stream of IP edits and, recently, User:QSSVbibi6N76J. QSSVbibi6N76J is the named account with the most edits to David Nelson (Utah activist) (although a some IPs have more edits). QSSVbibi6N76J has also uploaded three images of David Nelson to Commons and created the category "David Nelson (Utah activist)" there. All of the IPs listed have primarily edited David Nelson (Utah activist) and some have also edited related articles. I have only listed IPs that edited the article since the beginning of the year. All of the IP are assigned to Comcast and connect back to Utah. It would appear that the only person who cares about David Nelson (Utah activist) is David Nelson. Since the IP seems to change so frequently, I feel it may be useful for a checkuser to look for other accounts in the 98.202.*.* range to check for collateral damage if a rangeblock is required. •  Clerk declined - These may very well all be the same person, but I see no evidence that any actual abuse has occurred. So unless David Nelson is forbidden from using other accounts or editing logged out, I don't see anything for SPI to do here. Someguy1221 ( talk) 05:51, 4 March 2013 (UTC) reply
    • Sorry, I should have referenced the warning the user was given last time: "Please be reminded that abusing multiple accounts to evade scrutiny is contrary to policy, and so is recruiting other people to edit on your behalf. I have blocked the User:ElijahStone account; if you do it again, all of your accounts will be blocked" (bolding mine). Delicious carbuncle ( talk) 06:05, 4 March 2013 (UTC) reply
  • After looking into this deeper, it became obvious based on behavioral evidence alone that QSSV and the IP addresses are all David Nelson. The main target article has been semi-protected for a year, and the sock account has been blocked. I have asked David to return to his original account if he wishes to edit again, and have also blocked the main account for 1 week. Someguy1221 ( talk) 06:22, 4 March 2013 (UTC) reply
