Evidence submitted by Kruško Mortale
  • User:DIREKTOR was blocked for 48 hours on 07:26, 26 June 2009 by User:EyeSerene. He was in the middle of edit war with me on Template:Infobox Bosnian War. Soon after he was blocked (10:01, 26 June 2009), User:Nirvana77 appeared, and reverted to his version, with the same explanation in the talk page. [1]. So it seems, that Nirvana77 is his backup account. When I checked contribution it became more obvious, because Nirvana77 was working on the same topics, related to battles. I think this should be chacked. Kruško Mortale ( talk) 19:08, 27 June 2009 (UTC) reply

LoL, ok first of all, this is a "retaliatory checkuser" because of my posting a checkuser request here. Second, the whole text above doesn't really make any sense :P. Just check me if you must and get it over with... -- DIREKTOR ( TALK) 19:18, 27 June 2009 (UTC) reply

Completely ridiculous claim, i reverted what i saw as biased vandalism and stated my opinion on the talk page. It looks to me more like someone can't accept that people can disagree with him. I'm interested in articles related to military history, and obviously so is DIREKTOR, what does that prove? Absolutly nothing. I have been a member for three years now, and encountered DIREKTOR twice to my recollection, once in the Talk:Yugoslav wars article and now in Template talk:Infobox Bosnian War. Judging by DIREKTORS page he resides in Split, Croatia, meaning we live in two different countries considering I live in Gothenburg, Sweden, I dont know if there is a way to confirm that by the IP adresses?. Obviously a desperate attempt at trying to get his way in the articles there is a dispute about. -- Nirvana77 ( talk) 20:22, 27 June 2009 (UTC) reply

User:Kruško Mortale is a long-standing repeated sockpuppeteer. [2] He's been indeff blocked (again). Its this same guy that keeps reappearing, this User:The Dragon of Bosnia or User:Grandy Grandy or User:Journalist 007, etc... He needs to get his IP range-blocked for good. He's caused way too much trouble on Wikipedia.
Anyway, if anyone still wants to check his counter-claim be my guest... -- DIREKTOR ( TALK) 06:20, 29 June 2009 (UTC) reply

To the clerk, Kruško is currently a suspected sock of a blocked user (see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Historičar). Historičar has previously started 'retaliatory' SSP cases against users he's disputing with (see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mir Harven). A check can go ahead, but this seems to be fishing and I think it's pretty clear this isn't a good faith request. Spellcast ( talk) 20:32, 27 June 2009 (UTC) reply

Evidence submitted by Иван Богданов ( talk)

There is real possibility that User:PRODUCER is a sock puppet of User:DIREKTOR. There are too many similarities and overlaps between edits of these users, their names have very similar meaning (both of them are apparently named after a movie supervisory positions), there are even a number of copycat similarities between their userpages as well ( [3], Special:Contributions/DIREKTOR, Special:Contributions/PRODUCER, User:DIREKTOR, User:PRODUCER). This issue should be investigated as soon as possible. -- Иван Богданов ( talk) 21:52, 22 February 2010 (UTC) reply

I'll be bold and blunt: with several years on Wikipedia and an edit count surpassing some 22,000 edits, I'm not your average newbie stupid enough to create a sock called User:PRODUCER (or any sock for that matter). PRODUCER and I argued at times, I'm from Croatia, he's from Bosnia I think, etc. (I think we just recently disagreed about the size of a template image on Template:Politics of Yugoslavia.)

Lets check me and be done with it. :) -- DIREKTOR ( TALK) 10:34, 23 February 2010 (UTC) reply

I suppose what strikes me as odd is why now raise suspicions of sock puppetry? Both accounts were created a long while ago, both has similar userpages, and both edit articles on similar topics. To me, something like this would have been easily pinpointed and reported long ago. Again, why now? – MuZemike 22:03, 22 February 2010 (UTC) reply

Why now? Because I wasn't aware of this until recently. -- Иван Богданов ( talk) 23:15, 22 February 2010 (UTC) reply
It was raised because I looked at DIREKTOR's editing when he posted a comment at WP:ANI, and I spotted this other account (I forget how). I asked what DIREKTOR's relationship to that account was at WP:ANI, so it's my doing. Fences& Windows 01:02, 23 February 2010 (UTC) reply
p.s. I wasn't interested in asking for this SPI; leaping straight to it without talking to DIREKTOR or PRODUCER about it is an error. Fences& Windows 23:27, 24 February 2010 (UTC) reply

User:DIREKTOR was recently baned from editing of all Balkans articles and talkpages, broadly construed, for 6 months. This was his last edit in one Balkan article before he noticed that he is banned. That edit was then reverted by another user, but after 3 days an IP number appeared and made a change in that article that is similar to last change of User:DIREKTOR. There should be check is there an connection between that IP and User:DIREKTOR. It seems to me that he using this IP to avoid block. PANONIAN 18:29, 8 August 2011 (UTC) reply

For the record, it isn't me. I'm the guy that hunts socks, not creates them (I must've reported dozens over the years). I'm not that stupid. I'll also add that the IP altered my edits with his post, linking to " Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia" directly, instead of via the " Democratic Federal Yugoslavia" redirect which I introduced several times (" Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia" is anachronistic as the infobox applies to the year 1944 and "Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia" was the name instituted in 1963).

P.S. That IP is from Canada if I'm not mistaken. I am currently in Split, Croatia. -- DIREKTOR ( TALK) 00:01, 9 August 2011 (UTC) reply

On the talk page DIREKTOR argued that socialist Serbia should not be listed among successor states and removal of socialist Serbia from list of successor states is common for DIREKTOR and involved IP. There are no other involved users that supported this removal of successor state. PANONIAN 19:18, 8 August 2011 (UTC) reply
Also, DIREKTOR argued that these symbols (flag and coat arms) are symbols "of the Government of National Salvation" and IP actually posted these symbols into article about that government: [7] PANONIAN 19:30, 8 August 2011 (UTC) reply
They are the flag & coa of that government, since that government instituted them. And that government does not represent Serbia, which we've agreed is a name for the territory. I want to ask you for help. I noticed this edit of User:Peacemaker67 and after I reverted an obviously inaccurate edit (there is no evidence that term "Nedić regime" was used as a name for territory) I checked edits of User:Peacemaker67 and I concluded that edits and views of this user are extremely similar to those of User:DIREKTOR. Furthermore, my view is shared by other two users, please see this and this. Furthermore, it was User:DIREKTOR who created userpage of User:Peacemaker67 (see evidence - the first edit on that list: [8]. I think that you should check is User:Peacemaker67 a sockpuppet of User:DIREKTOR - there is notable amount of similar topics of interest and views shared by these two accounts and there is also an mass POV revert warring involved with multiple users (please see diffs: [9], [10], [11]. Here User:DIREKTOR reverted article to last version by User:Peacemaker67. Furthermore, User:Peacemaker67 claims to live in Australia, so if checkuser shows that he lives in Croatia (as user:DIREKTOR), we will have an evidence of disruption. Also note that User:DIREKTOR has a history of disruptive behaviour and topic ban from all Balkans articles and talkpages was imposed on him by an admin (see evidence here on the bottom of the page: [12]). Ban was later lifted because of procedural mistake of the admin, but evidence about history of disruptive behavior in the past is clearly here. I do not wish to give the impression that I am troubled in the slightest by the possible outcome of a checkuser, in fact I think it might be a good idea just to put a stop to this nonsense - because I find this sort of borderline harassment intensely annoying. This is nothing more than an attempt to use an alternative to sourced discussion on a subject. We are not the same person, that is utter nonsense, and (attempts at character assassination aside) there is no real evidence whatsoever that would suggest anything of the sort. The report should be rejected outright on those grounds.

It should be noted that User:PANONIAN has decided to try and block User:Peacemaker67 only after noticing this thread, in which Peacemaker has stated he might oppose PANONIAN's position in a content dispute. The same thing was attempted previously by User:FkpCascais [13], an apparent "ally" of PANONIAN in this endeavor [14] (though notably even FkpCascais did not entertain the ridiculous notion that Peacemaker67 and I are the same person). -- Director ( talk) 21:46, 25 March 2012 (UTC) reply

Yes, I read that thread and it was one of the evidences for possible sockpuppetry. It looks like an arranged discussion, where long comments of account DIREKTOR are supported by short comments of account Peacemaker67 - all in all an possible example of a man talking to himself in order to make impression that multiple persons are sharing his view. There was a POV time-wasting discussion about this subject that involved multiple users for months where DIREKTOR tried to implement his position despite all sources that other users presented and he was banned by an admin exactly because of that. Suddenly, his position is shared by another newly created account, which also did not presented sources that would support such position. PANONIAN 22:19, 25 March 2012 (UTC) reply
Also, mister DIREKTOR, if it is not your sockpuppet, why you feel need to defend yourself? If User:Peacemaker67 is not your sock, checkuser will show that you are from different countries and you would really have no reason to waste your time on this page. PANONIAN 22:29, 25 March 2012 (UTC) reply
Right.. so Peacemaker should have posted equally massive posts or else he's a sockpuppet? :) Could it be that, as I actually stated, I was attempting to relay the gist of the long drawn-out dispute for Peacemaker, who's statement of opinion in response is very unlikely to necessitate an equally verbose reply? And personally I find your perceptions of what sockupuppet discussions look like rather strange and tailored to this instance. Peacemaker and I had many discussions, in which we frequently disagree. And I am "defending myself" because, as I said, I am offended and annoyed by this charade.
And please, "Mr. Director" is my father. Just call me Dir ;) -- Director ( talk) 22:33, 25 March 2012 (UTC) reply
this is utter nonsense. PLEASE DO THE CHECKUSER! This is the second time since I started here 4 months ago an editor with a Serbian POV has accused me of being a sock. I am sick to death of the POV nonsense. Some editor doesn't like sourced content or having their POV edits challenged, so instead of engaging with reliable published sources, they accuse me of being a sock. Not only is it nonsense, which will be proven by a CHECKUSER, but it is completely contrary to WP:AGF. Peacemaker67 ( talk) 22:39, 25 March 2012 (UTC) reply
I second that: PLEASE DO THE CHECKUSER! :) -- Director ( talk) 22:45, 25 March 2012 (UTC) reply

Well I certainly will not be so kind. You argue from a pro-Serbian POV, PANONIAN. -- Director ( talk) 22:50, 25 March 2012 (UTC) reply
I do not remember that I asked you (so, is this confession or you forgot with which account you should say what?). Anyway, DIREKTOR, please do not accuse me for "pro-Serbian POV" if you do not have diff that can support this claim, thank you. Also, edits of account DIREKTOR and account Peacemaker67 never occur in same minute - time to switch from Pentium to Laptop perhaps? PANONIAN 22:58, 25 March 2012 (UTC) reply
this is just insulting and paranoid, persecution complex stuff now. Talk about grasping at straws. Peacemaker67 ( talk) 02:09, 26 March 2012 (UTC) reply

Thank you PANONIAN for the good laugh. Scoffing at this report at face value, I decided to see if there was any measurable substance to your claims other than "baww they have opposing views to mine that means they're obviously the same person". My search made this report even more hilarious. I ran DIREKTOR and Peacemaker67 through the "wikichecker" program, and this is what I found: DIREKTOR Peacemaker67 (if you get a 403 error, just click refresh until it works). It is plainer than day that the editing patterns of these two users could not be more different: by day of week and by time of day. What's more, the patterns check out for the parts of the world they claim to be from. Yeah, their edits "never occur in same minute"—they live in different corners of the globe. What did you think, that DIREKTOR stays up 24/7 solely to carry on internet disputes with you? Think! Checkuser shouldn't even be needed here; it is obvious that this is just disruptive fishing. I have half a mind to run you through a pesky SPI with WhiteWriter and FkpCascais for the same nonsense "reasons" that you started this one for. I won't, though. I'm just going to sit here and hope that you get whacked by a curved Australian Aboriginal hunting weapon for this blatantly belligerent battleground behaviour. Cheers Lothar! Nice to hear from someone who can see through this nonsense. You seem a bit sensitive there, PANONIAN. You kicked this off by calling me a sock with the most pathetic evidence conceivable. Talk about throwing rocks when you live in a glasshouse! That's at least as bad if not a lot worse than being accused of editing from a POV, because it implies I am an editor with a POV who doesn't even have the guts to admit who they are (and/or what their POV is). • Speedy close. What evidence do you propose, apart from similar-sounding names and common interests in Yugoslavian history? It would be a quite stupid (or maybe brilliant, who knows) move to create a sockpuppet with similar name and style (uppercase)? While I haven't asked him, my impression is that PRODUCER's moniker is simply a pun, or a harmless bait, on DIREKTOR's user name. No such user ( talk) 08:07, 18 March 2014 (UTC) reply
  • Next time please be so kind as to notify me, Altemann. And I'm sure there will be a "next time" since these these things seem to have a tendency to recur. We were already checked years ago, with an "unrelated" result. We are certainly not brothers, we are from different countries entirely. I am also nobody's meatpuppet, though I would be interested to know if you, Altemann, are acting as a proxy for Shalom11111 ( talk · contribs), all of this considered?
I posted the file as a lead image on an article Producer is creating, after I fixed it up a bit in Photoshop. Then Producer presumably saw the lead image in the article, and proceeded to post a higher-res version I couldn't find. Annoyed that my work was now for naught, I fixed up the new image a bit as well (tone, fixed smudges, increased brightness, and so forth). And that's the whole image caper.
Producer and I, both being ex-Yugoslavs, share an interest in Yugoslav history, and I suppose, an interest in the history of communism (which is a related subject). There are a great many topics I have edited in my c. 51,000 edits - where we do not share a common interest. For just one example: Roman, Byzantine, and Medieval history. Or, Croatian history as such. Or Dalmatia, etc.
As regards the similarity in the name, I have no idea why Producer chose it, nor would I presume to speculate. I can only point out again that my username does not stem from film-making terminology, but instead means something like " director (business)" translated from Serbo-Croatian (its spelled with a "K"). It my old (ancient) nickname. Also, as Nsu says, I'd have to be incredibly dumb to actually name a sock that way, esp after sniffing out so many and seeing them blocked for no real reason other than their own stupidity. I dislike socks and sockpuppeteers with a passion, as I had to contend with dozens and dozens. I posted numerous SPIs.
Finally I think anyone with some experience can see P and I have a markedly different mode of expression. As I said in the first SPI: checkuser if you must. Then, however, I was looking forward to settling this issue. Now I'm just annoyed. -- Director ( talk) 13:37, 18 March 2014 (UTC) reply
afaik there is automatic notification, so i dint personally notify. i apologize for inconvenience. in my defence i may say only that since i am not the first (and as you say not the last), then there is really something of weird similarity. and as i wrote myself in the first place: this similarity may as well be misleading, - Altenmann >t 16:00, 18 March 2014 (UTC) reply
  • Comment - ["though I would be interested to know if you, Altemann, are acting as a proxy for Shalom11111"] - if I said something like this about Director, he would've (and has) accused me of making a personal attack against him. And then I'd be reported, which is what Producer actually recently did. No, I do not know who the user 'Altenmann >t' is, and in fact this is probably only the second time I come across his name on Wikipedia. I'm also very sure that sock puppetry is not the case here, but like 'Altenmann >t', "I am not ready to accuse of meatpuppetry" yet, so I'll refrain from saying anything further for now.

  • However, while I don't have time and evidence to open a SPI investigation myself, political attitudes and articles edited by Kennechten ( talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) strongly resemble those of indef-blocked (banned?) Aradic-es ( talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) (Croatian far right, Herzegovina, Football clubs in Herzegovina). Since he kindly exposed himself to scrutiny, it would be nice if the checkusers could get a look in that direction. No such user ( talk) 14:32, 30 November 2010 (UTC) reply
  • I would also like to point out that User:Kennechten's edits and POV bare a strange similarity with those of another Croatian account named in German: User:Wustefuchs. Also it is very strange that this cockamamie report appeared after my having asked User:Wustefuchs about this on Talk:Ante Pavelić. •  Clerk note: I've informed the accused sockpuppets and master of this case. From a first glance it seems like a slightly bad faith case over content dispute. Timbouctou has 33k edits and DIREKTOR 29k; seems unlikely that they've been puppeting for roughly half of their combined edits. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 13:33, 30 November 2010 (UTC) reply

Peacemaker67, would you be so kind not to accuse me for "Serbian POV" if you do not have diff that will show that I support such POV. Do you have problem with my nationality or something like that? PANONIAN 22:47, 25 March 2012 (UTC) reply
