Takeouts from discussions

Unrealized proposals

This section lists proposals that have been made at WT:SLR, but did not elicit enough interest to be realized. The purpose is to keep them from being completely forgotten, as they may have some merit and worth being brought up again when circumstances afford more interest.

Unresolved discussion

This section lists discussions that have taken place at WT:SLR and had come to a stand still for a long time.

Simple SLDRA violation:

== Please respect editing restrictions ==
You recently edited [[...]], which is currently subject to editing restrictions. Please follow the instructions in the blue box on top of that page before you do any edits that could be regarded controversial. You may also want to check out our [[Wikipedia:Introduction|intro page]], which contains a lot of helpful material for new users. ~~~~

Deletion of unclassified sources:

== How to deal with unclassified sources ==
Thank you for referring to [[WP:SLR#Classification of sources]] in your recent edits, such as [... this]. I need to correct a misunderstanding, though: When a source is not classified as RS, it doesn't mean that it's unreliable. In particular, Asia Times has simply not been assessed yet. When you see a source like this, please proceed per [[WP:SLR#WP:SLR#How to avoid a revert war]], and apply the template {{tl|Verify credibility}}.

Allow me a more general remark: Please keep in mind that such major changes in SL conflict related articles are practically always controversial. Therefore, next time, please follow the instruction of the box on top of that page, which says: "Before changing anything that might be controversial, please report the issue at [[Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Sri Lanka Reconciliation]]." I hope to see you there! ~~~~
