Baseball Card Guy

  • Supporting evidence: User:Baseball Card Guy was a disruptive user who I recently blocked indef for harrassment, AFD vote stacking, sockpuppetry, incivilty, etc, etc etc.... Right now it seems like he's evading his block by using clear sockpuppets like Punched Judy, and The Almighty Bob, both blocked indef. Your Radio Enemy also seem to be a sock of Baseball Card Guy, sharing similar intrests and doing similar reverts [1] [2] and very similar intrests including topics that weren't even involved in the edit wars [3], and same attacks of Libro0 [4] and [5]. Also supports the same AFDs as the sock [6], normally I would take this to IRC for a checkuser to quickly review, but I have no access to IRC in the moment, so I need to take it here. A list of socks, and IPs would also be good as well. Secret account 16:04, 18 November 2008 (UTC) reply
  • This is just more harassment of me. It has been proven that I am not a sockpuppet of User:Baseball Card Guy not once and twice. This is more of User:Libro0 manipulating people into getting his agenda fulfilled. It seems that everyone that disagrees with him getting the third degree. If anyone should be investigated it is User:Libro0 for his pattern of lies, intimidation, and ultimatums. And if you think I am going to make a donation to support Wikipedia after all this, you are sorely mistaking. Your Radio Enemy ( talk) 17:43, 18 November 2008 (UTC) reply

  • I am confused: On the one hand is there some downside to checking Your Radio Enemy? It seems to me that he is a likely sock of Baseball Card Guy. He makes the same edits to Topps-related articles as BCG and his socks, and he makes the same personal attacks on Libro0 as BCG (as one sees above). And compare these two I-quit statements in reaction to sockpuppet allegations: BCG and YRE On the other hand, why were Topographic Slime, Mister Oobatz, and Autorole blocked? Sure they come from the same computer(s) as BCG, but they have not been used abusively (at least not yet). — teb728 t c 09:02, 19 November 2008 (UTC) reply
  • I agree, the two leaving statements are way too similar, as for the last three users, Punched Judy was the same until he participated in the 1970s Topps AFD, likely aged socks. Secret account 12:47, 19 November 2008 (UTC) reply
  • Have to agree with Secret here. A checkuser on Your Radio Enemy would finally resolve this issue once and for all. -- Kralizec! ( talk) 22:46, 19 November 2008 (UTC) reply
    • We don't use CheckUser as an end-all means to resolve drama. I find the evidence of sockpuppetry between BCG and YRE insufficient to warrant a check. Diffs 1 and 2 show YRE making the same revert – not sure how that's supposed to demonstrate that he is BRC. Diff 3 shows one article that the two users edited – nearly 10 days apart! From diffs 4 and 5, I can gather that the users have a dislike for Libro0. However, diff 6 doesn't really say much, since the rationale for deletion was within policy. If you have more evidence, or if you want to pinpoint specific things from previous SSP cases that may change my mind, feel free to post here or on my talk page. • Could you clarify what it does take to get a CheckUser? (You checked Topographic Slime, Mister Oobatz, and Autorole without even being asked.) I agree that the similarity of YRE’s Topps-related posts to those of BCG and his socks might be a coincidental agreement. But combine that similarity with their similar personal attacks on Libro0, and it is very unlikely that they are not the same person. Compare for example BCG and YRE. They both demand an apology from Libro0, accusing him of passive aggressive attacks and wasting the community’s time. And compare their strikingly similar “I quit” statements in reaction to sockpuppet allegations: BCG and YRE In addition to quitting, both will tell others of their bad experience here. — teb728 t c 07:53, 20 November 2008 (UTC) reply
