I'm nominating myself. I've done lots of work on cleanup projects for Wikipedia, including the Cleanup Taskforce, most of the pages listed on the Active Wiki Fixup Projects page, the cleanup work that Triddle has done and much more. I've also done lots of voting on the votes for deletion page. The most important thing I try to do is to uphold the principles of Wikipedia, including making sure that pages belong here and that there are in a non-biased and non-narrative style. For those interested in numbers, my edit count is over 7,000 in the 6 months that I have been working on the site, which means that I have no life. :) Woohookitty 29 June 2005 03:26 (UTC)

It's my own nomination, so yes I accept. -- Woohookitty 29 June 2005 03:56 (UTC)

Support

  1. Support. I had actually been thinking of nominating Woohookitty, but I just nominated Spangineer. He's done a lot of impressive work in "keeping the site clean of crud," and so, I think, would make great use of admin powers. -- Dmcdevit 29 June 2005 03:47 (UTC)
  2. Support. In my experience working with Woohookitty on the Cleanup Taskforce, Woohookitty is an asset to Wikipedia and dedicated to making it better. · Katefan0 (scribble) June 29, 2005 12:40 (UTC)
  3. Support. Woohookitty has been volunteering for my cleanup projects since I've started them and has consistently contributed above and beyond the call of duty. Additionally I believe that Woohoo would be a fine admin and I enjoy being able to cast my support for them. Triddle June 29, 2005 15:46 (UTC)
  4. Support. Good work on redirects, something a lot of users don't think to create. PedanticallySpeaking June 29, 2005 18:01 (UTC)
  5. Support Very active in cleanup and thus would benefit with the admin tools. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 29 June 2005 18:29 (UTC)

  1. Oppose. You have only been here for seven months. Any potential admin must have at least nine months of contributions before I can endorse him or her. Denelson83 3 July 2005 23:19 (UTC)

  1. Sorry. By the time I saw my mistake in putting it in the wrong section, it was too late. I apologize. -- Woohookitty 29 June 2005 03:56 (UTC)
  2. Since it looks like the vote is going to be successful, I just want to thank everyone for the support. It's much appreciated. I didn't know that people admired my work as much as they apparently do and it's a nice gesture of your part to give me this position. I appreciate it very much. Thanks. -- Woohookitty 6 July 2005 00:18 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)
A: If I get the adminship, I plan on spending alot of time on the page that has people requesting help from administrators. I also plan on spending as much time as I can making sure that the copyvio and vfd pages do not get backlogged, which I know is a major problem on the site. I just hope to keep the site clean of crud as much as possible..
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A: I am particularly pleased with my recent work on the Death and state funeral of Ronald Reagan article. I was basically called into it when other users had gotten tired of a particular user continually acting like the page belonged to him, which is a very common misperception that I hope to work on as an admin. I basically ended up taking an article that was 60 kb and had 57 pictures and made it readable and managable. I am proud of it because it meant trying to control another users excesses, which is difficult. And I did enough good editing that now it is being talked about as a featured article candidate and I am proud of that.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A: Oh gosh, that is really difficult to answer. I say that because conflict is inherent in a site like Wikipedia. As I said, I was called in to help on the state funeral of Ronald Reagan article. In that article and others, I tend to try to be very patient for awhile until I realize that the other person involved is not going to change and then I tend to try to explore avenues that will lead to consensus. I try to get the consensus first before doing anything else.
