- A. As an administrator of some other forums, I often scan through posts (in this case, articles) and try to remove irrelevant information. Because WIkipedia is supposed to be just like other online enyclopedias, the organization and relevancy of provided information is a HIGH priority. In order for users to get the most out of Wikipedia's articles, they must be organized, informative, and easy to understand.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A. I am particularly pleased of my work on the page Code: Lyoko. In my work there, I have reorganized many parts and removed useless and repetitive information (as well as moving much of these trivial pieces of information to the newly-created 'trivia' section). This page is now well-organized (most of the time), and I am pleased to say that I, with the definite help of Wikipedian Someguy0830, have been able to make this page useful to people who wish to learn more about the show. Sure, it's an article about a TV show, but it's one more article that is helpful.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A. I have been in a few struggles with some people over whether some information was relevant or not on the Code: Lyoko page. The solution that was reached was to alow the information to stay in the article--but in its own 'trivia' section (see above). I also believe that if more compromises are reached, then Wikipedia would be more peaceful--if we could stop seeing information in right or wrong, but instead as relevant according to each person's perspective.
- As for stress, yes, I have been stressed sometimes. But when people work together, it does occasionally get stressful. However, the fact that every person has their own opinion is a good thing for everyone. Without conflicting opinions every once in a while, where's the fun of working together?
