Longhair has been around since August 31, 2004; he's always around doing something to better the Wiki. I've run across him vandal fighting and welcoming new users; I believe he may be one of the most prolific welcomers around (except
Redwolf24, of course). He has 12116 edits across all namespaces. If anyone deserves to be an admin, this is the guy.

Strong Support. Given that you are a trusted, polite and hardworking Wikipedian, I'm shocked you're not an Admin already. --

Strong Support. He has over 12000 edits in just over 9 months; he's very experienced with User talk and WP: namespaces but still very involved with articles; he seems like a great user; and I thought he was an admin already. --

Would just like to note, for those who might not follow the link below, that the arbitration case mentioned below was started by Longhair, it was not against Longhair, and the result was to ban the other user, with no sanctions or other condemnation of Longhair. Didn't want anyone to see "arbitration" and think the wrong thing.
I see large part of your contributions is adding categories: it is often better to use fewer categories than overcategorise, especially for biographies.

Questions for the candidate A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
A. Providing stronger opposition to persistant vandals is something that I've been lacking control of and I'd be happy to be able to assist more there. As I become more aware of the need for assistance with other admin functions I'll gladly help out where needed. --

2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. Choosing a favourite article or contribution is like choosing the best child. From the bunch I nominate
Robert Trimbole, the
Anita Cobby murder and
Remand. Whilst those articles still contain some holes, I regard them as being among my personal bests. --

3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A. The only conflict that comes to mind is my run-in with
Internodeuser, which led to my first and only
Arbitration case. Throughout the conflict I remained calm, civil and saw the process through to the end without resorting to immaturity. --
