Since I just offered to nominate him myself, I support strongly. Great work on taxonomy and plants. Good editor, pleasant person to deal with.

Support JoJan is a natural choice for an adminship. He is an ever-constant support to new users, like myself for whom I would have had a much more diffficult time adjusting to Wikipedia from Academy. JoJan's advice is excellent, honest, to the point, always guiding the new user to better climb that learning curve on Wikipedia. As well, JoJan's advice on what a Wikipedia article should be has been a constant beacon of style, formate, structure, etc. He guides patiently the new user to the right outcome.

Support. I've recently put one of JoJan's picture contributions up for
FP. He seems to be a very good, all round contributor. --

Support. Has by gentile persuasion introduced us to new places. Any editor who can do that to my "made-up-mind" has a special talent and deserves to be an Admin. And, we're not easy to "pull along".

Questions for the candidate A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
A. I'll do (as I already did in the past) new pages patrol, looking for speedy deletions or Vfd. I'll contribute to cleanup (recently
Soapwort) and requested translations (Dutch-English).(insofar as they are inside my sphere of competence). Since perfection is not possible, I strive for high quality in my works but request it equally in work of others.
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. There are many. I have at the moment 564 pages on my watchlist. Most of them are articles I wrote myself. The others were stubs or articles of just one paragraph that I expanded into full-length articles. Since I am mainly working on Tree of Life articles, I'm particularly proud of
Gastropoda (not the easiest subject),
Orchidaceae and many related articles. I'm also proud of the several biographies I've written (see my user page). To write most pages, I had to do extensive research. But when I see the end result, it gives me a certain satisfaction. I hope it gives you and my readers the same satisfaction.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A. Due to the specialized nature of my articles, real conflicts are rare. When they happen, an exchange of rational arguments quickly resolves the matter. As to other conflicts, I'm rather rational and I'll only participate when I can make a positive contribution. During my working career I've had several times training in handling a conflict. And as to stress, I've been working 42 years under stress, even heavy stress, and it never got the better of me.
