Francis Tyers (aka "Franklin Gonzales", aka "spectie") has wilfully, and without any regard to common sense or the dignity of man, behaved as we would expect an admin to behave. Further, he has persistently, despite many requests, been level-headed, mature, and an all-around Top Bloke. If we can't cut him down in the street, we can at least promote him to adminship. Support the bugger.

Late to the party support Francis is the first person I've ever offered to nominate, after I saw how he helped out a newbie user (the
Cassiobury Park article author) in a most gracious and highly efficient way. He already had someone else lined up to nominate him, of course but I promised to heartily support his candidacy, so here I am, and sorry to be late! I think he's going to be an awesome admin. ++

Aside from the positive points made by others here, Francis' work with
Cassiobury Park pleased me. He edits articles for content as well as mopping up small errors.
Wikipedia:WikiProject Soviet Union is another matter to consider. It is turning out rather well, both in interest as well as concentrating the efforts of interested parties. I see that his contributions already show that he would be able to use Admin tools rather well, and sensibly. Two thumbs up. *--

Questions for the candidate A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
A. There is always a backlog at AfD, CSD and CfD, I hope to help reduce that. I can't help but cleanup articles when I find it within my grasp and have been going through some editing for tone. When RC patrolling I revert vandalism and sometimes come across persistent vandals and have to ask on irc for an admin to block them. It would be great to be able to do that myself. I'd also like to help out at requested moves.
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. Contributions wise I've been pretty happy with my work at
Leprechaun, although I have by no means finished. I've been pleased with the results of resolving the dispute and averting an edit war at
Template:Politics of Western Sahara. I'm hoping to branch out the Wikilove that into other articles relating Western Sahara. I'm really pleased with the response I got from helping out a newbie at
Cassiobury Park and with the work we've been doing at
WPSU, not exactly rapid industralisation, but I hope we're getting somewhere. I've also done some translation work at
Maria Sibylla Merian.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A. I was in a dispute with
Cool Cat over at
Kurdistan Workers Party, the dispute was never resolved per se, I just gave up after a while of deadlock. I keep meaning to return. I'm sure I've been sarcastic and even caustic in the past. I haven't recently been rude towards anyone and have been trying to keep a level head, thinking carefully before I write something. For the record, I'm currently a party in the
deeceevoice RfAr. I worked with her on
Cultural appropriation and
Dreadlocks. I also had a but of a run in with
Just a tag on
Moldovan language, but with that one I managed to keep my head.
